I thought these are kind on an ingenious design, but.... They are a regular LED light fixture but also have a built in night light feature. I'll admit, I bought these to replace my bedroom ceiling fans. My bedroom had two switches, one for the fan, one for the light. I saw this and thought it was perfect, I'd use one switch for the light and the other switch for the nightlight. They don't work that way at all, and I wish they did. To turn on the light, you flip the switch. To turn on the nightlight, you flip the switch on and off a couple times and every time you turn it "on" its either on the light or the nightlight and it alternates. So although the feature works, its clunky. Imagine being in the dark and having to flash the lights on and off to get it to the setting you want. It works, its clunky and awkward IMO. The lights were super easy to install and came with a bracket that fastened right to the box. The light is clean and simple and sleek and shines plenty bright for an average room. Despite the nightlight feature being quirky, I still think these are 4star, because they do what they say, I had bigger expectations for them than I should have, and the product did what they stated, I just wish I had researched the nightlight feature a little more and would have had different expectations, I even went back to the listing and this problem is not described anywhere in the listing. In fact, they state "Enjoy full control over your lighting ambiance" There is no way to get "full control" really as you cannot operate the night light and regular light independently. Its an either/or situation and as mentioned, you have to flash the switch to switch modes. To the manufacturer- I hope you consider revising the way this product is made, and make this model with two power leads in the future, one for each lamp. That would make this product exponentially better, yet still allow people to hook them together in the case of a single switch. I would have been able to set the nightlight on a timer and then used the full light as needed if they had been on independent leads (that would have given me full control) Again, the light did what it was suppose to do, but is quirky and could stand to have the design revisited which would make this a far superior product than it currently is. Overall it functions, but the design needs a LOT of improvement. ... show more

– Family Safe: ETL Listed & Labeled electrical safety testing certification Safety First - The most important thing is that this LED Ceiling Light IS SAFE to use in your home. It has electrical safety certification labels on the receptacle itself as required by NEC requirements. Please see the attached photograph. - I can use this ELECTRICALLY SAFE LED Ceiling Light and pass electrical inspection and keep my Home Owner’s Insurance valid. I often buy light fixtures, or electrical products, or Lithium Ion Batteries on Amazon where the website description does not bother to mention the electrical safety testing certification. I just assume that I will receive a product that is safe for my family. I am always surprised and dismayed when the light fixture, or electrical product, or Lithium Battery DOES NOT have an electrical safety test certification label. - For my moral values, to keep my family safe, to keep other families safe, for my liability insurance requirements, and to keep my Home Owner’s insurance valid, I only use or install ETL, or UL, or C RU US, or C RL US, or CSA, or TUV, or Triangle VDE, or Diamond VSE electrical safety certified and labeled electrical products in my own home and in other people’s homes or businesses. These electrical safety certifications are provided by third party electrical product safety testing laboratories that are independent from the manufacturer. - The CE label IS NOT a certification of independent laboratory electrical safety testing. The CE label is an UN-certified SELF-declaration scheme for marketing by the manufacturer. A product labeled with the CE mark DOES NOT have to be third party electrical safety certified to be marketed. - The UKCA label IS NOT a certification of independent laboratory electrical safety testing. It's a nice light with an accessible brightness switch with 3 brightness settings, normal sunlight, warmer sunlight, and morgue. The only issue I have with it is there is no openings on the top nor the sides, meaning the ceiling itself will not get any light whatsoever.
