  • Works well in heavy rain
Style: Gutter Guard
I modified the guards as shown in the pictures. Notched left front corner 1/2". This allows overlapping guards. Also added a hole on right side on second flat surface from bottom. Used Hillman 35247 Hex Washer Self-Drilling Screw 8 x 9/16 screws to attach. Result is guards lay flat with no gaps or uneven look. Did a test install in 2022 on part of my one-story ranch house. Evaluated for two years then installed the rest this year. Very happy with these guards. On occasion maple seed stems or leaf stems will get stuck in the holes, but they eventually decay away. No more cleaning leaves or clogged downspouts. Way cheaper to install yourself rather then pay a professional gutter company. Only downside is when snow lays on top of the guards, it may melt then refreeze at night. I notice more icicles than before. But I suspect this is true with any gutter guards. ... show more

  • Great item. Don’t pay some company $3k for what you can do for $300
Style: Gutter Guard
These are awesome. I initially discovered them at Menards. Bought a pack of ten for $78 or something. Got home then belatedly realized they’re here for $50 shipped. A few bucks I’d just suck it up, but for ~50% more expensive….sorry Menards. Returned and ordered a bunch from Amazon. Menards does sell singles of these so if you need one or two at the end of your project and don’t want to order a full box, hit them up and spend $7.50 each :) These are well made and the coating appears very strong and looks nice. We just got a new roof so I wanted to make sure the whole package was protected. These slid right under the first row of shingles and hook under the lip of the gutter. Easy. I installed a straight run of about 25’ in about 20 minutes. The most time consuming part is just inch worming the ladder down the run for each piece. Does get a but more time consuming when you need to cut a corner. Just mark your spots and connect the dots with some nice tin snips. You can see in my pic how much tree debris has collected on top of the sections I installed a few days ago. Those are the sections in the distance. Without the guards, all that would be down in the gutter creating the foundation for a nice clog. Time will tell but these appear to be a great buy. ... show more

  • Easy to Install, Has Some Issues with Valleys
Style: Gutter Guard
I thought this was an easy to install product and was able to complete my entire installation in one day. For the most part, the covers do a good job of diverting refuse from the gutter, and in handling all of the water. However, one place I noticed an issue was with the roof valleys, where the gutter guards would be a little overwhelmed, and water would wash over the gutter. Not sure of the long-term prognosis of this, as far as possible damage is concerned. ... show more

  • Medium difficulty to install correctly.
Style: Gutter Guard
There are no instructions with these guards so I hope this helps someone. Overall, great value, but medium difficulty. My 5" rain gutter has a 1" asphalt overhang. The idea is to slip the excess gutter guard under asphalt, but the nails securing the asphalt to the wooden roof are in the way. For each piece of gutter guard, you have to find these nails with a combination of the gutter guard pushing in/rocking left/right, screwdriver, and flashlight. Then, mark where the nail would fall on the gutter guard. I used a metal cutting blade on a power multi-tool (Fine brand) to cut out a 1" swath on each side of the mark. After cutting, flatten things out with a regular plier for easier install. If no multi-tool, then this is doable with wire cutters, but it's very slow. For my 90 degree corner, I used a miter saw set to 45 degrees for a straight edge. Without a miter saw, then a straight cut will be difficult. With these cuts, the gutter guard should slide right under the asphalt. If not, then it is usually because I missed a deeper nail and have to repeat. Once it slides in, then the gutter guard outboard side clips into the edge of the gutter. There are 2 predrilled holes on top of the clip about 6 inches from the lateral sides. Through these holes on the gutter guard, I drilled into my gutter's edge to install my own screws. Screws were not included so I got Everbilt brand, Stainless Steel, pan head Phillips #8 0.5 in 50 pack from Home Depot. At first, I tried not to use screws, but I was surprised that the gutter guards can pop out with just trade winds and tropic sun. For solar lights, I used deeper screws to tie down the securing clamps through the gutter guard to the gutter. Project finished on 6/20/21, no further complications to report. ... show more

  • Well made and easy to install
Style: Gutter Guard
I had a hard time finding a gutter guard for my 4" gutters, this fits 4, 5 or 6" gutters. Since I had the narrow gutters, I trimmed about 1 1/2" off the mesh which worked well and avoided interfering with nails. I was pleased that it fit easily on a section that was damaged from a ladder leaning on it. The finish is nice and seems very durable. Be aware this is made out of steel so it isn't the easiest to cut, and I am hoping the cut edges do not rust. Also, because they don't rest on top of the gutter there is a gap at the ends that may look attractive to a squirrel or bird. I fabricated an end cap out of some tin so seal this opening. Sofar they are working well! ... show more

  • Gutter guards
Style: Gutter Guard
I had been fighting on what gutter guard was best for my house. Sure I could have called a company to install it, but when I found this product, I was glad I didn't. I decided to buy one box to see if this was good or bad... It was good. So I purchased another box and continued my project. The guard was so easy to place between the drip-edge and the shingle, it clips on the front of your gutter, shoot 2 screws (not included) thru pre drilled holes into the gutter and move on to the next piece. Yes corners are a bit trickier, but watch a video or 2 and its easy. This isn't the cheapest guard out there, but to me its the easiest to install. ... show more

  • Easy to install robust design
Style: Gutter Guard
What I liked the best was the ease of installation. Many gutter installers told me do not put anything under the shingles. I live in the south we rarely have freezing temps or freezing rain so putting these under the shingles should not be problem at all. They have a great design and are very sturdy. Best of all they are very, very reasonably priced for what you are getting. ... show more
