  • Works Best Without Nail and Ferrules in Old Gutters
Size Name: 5 Inch - 100 Feet
Product as described. Each section is just under 4' long. First gutter I did was on back side of detached garage that nobody sees. The garage gutters have the old nails and ferrules. The guards on the garage went down but were wavy over the top of the ferrules and I had to use many fasteners to minimize the wave. I would recommend replacing nails and ferrules with this product: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09BP32VKX?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details With these hangers installed the Gutter Guard lays nice and you use fewer screws. This was my experience on the house doing an area also with the nails and ferrules that I replaced with straps. An idea; if you replace the nails and ferrules with the new straps put one on either side of the old location of the nail and ferrule. You can then install a stainless hanger for plants or lights and that dresses up the hole. Would of rated this five stars but have not yet seen it in action and it is made east of Cleveland so probably manufactured by Browns fans. Go Steelers! ... show more

  • All aluminum not plastic.
Size Name: 6 Inch - 50 Feet
I priced guards at the big box stores, and for metal ones, these were the best value for 200 lineal feet of gutters. I hammered the back edge which was at a 90*. I figured if installed as advertised laying flat, they would still hold leaf debris. Flatting the back edge and tucking it under the edge of the shingles made the guard on an angle. Still it may hold some leaf debris but a cordless blower would easily blow the debris off. ... show more

  • Great fit and easy to install
Size Name: 5 Inch - 100 Feet
Guards fit my 5” gutters perfectly. My barn is surrounded by trees. I’m pretty sure that I’ll not miss cleaning them once or twice a week. My gutters use the hidden hangars, so these guards fit perfectly. Assuming they do as well as I believe they will, I’ll remove the big box plastic ones I have on the house and install these instead. The plastic ones have limitations with heavy rain, and sliding them up under the shingles can be difficult. Thank you ... show more

  • Super easy to install
Size Name: 5 Inch - 100 Feet
These gutter covers are very easy to install. If your gutters are off size a little you can adjust the cover to fit very easily. Just have plenty of the zip screws, which are not included. You probably will take more time removing old covers. You can cut them with a good pair of siccors or tin snips, I used a kitchen type siccors and they went right through them easily. Haven't gone through a Buffalo winter, but I hope they will do just fine. ... show more

  • Installation was difficult
Size Name: 6 Inch - 50 Feet
Only had it up for a week. Do not know long term how it keeps debris out of the gutter. However the quality seems good. Guards handled the first hard rain well. Installation was very difficult until I realized bending the back upper end of the guard in or out allowed for adjustment to the correct gutter width. This made installation much easier. ... show more

  • At last, done.
Size Name: 5 Inch - 200 Feet
Been wanting gutter guards for years. Bought them and had my grandson install them. Took him five hours. I never have to clean gutters again! We had a downpour this morning and the gutters are working fine.

  • Slight Manufacturing Defect
Size Name: 5 Inch - 100 Feet
I am still to see how the guard will work. At least they are sturdy and easy to install. One batch had minor manufacturing defect though. I purchased three boxes, 200’, 100’, and 23’. The 100’ batch had the mounting holes punched too close to the inner edge of the guard lip, meaning that they are very close to the outer edge of gutter lip. See the picture. Most of the time I still managed to run the screw through the gutter, but in two or three places the screws slid off the gutter lip. Very inconvenient. Some notes about the installation. Somewhere there was a recommendation to screw the guard at every two feet. When you estimate how many screws you will need, take into account that you want a screw at each end of the guard panel plus one somewhere in the middle. You will likely need more at the corners and sometimes where the panels join. More on this below. And of course, you are going to drop an occasional screw. All in all, it is more reliable to count the screws per panel, not per foot; four screws per panel being a conservative estimate. You hopefully will need a bit less, but better to be on the safe side. It’s not a nice proposition to run out of screws in the middle of the day. The guards are designed with the specific shape of the hangers in mind. Hangers on my gutters have the part with the screw longer than on the manufacturer’s picture, so they did not fit so nicely inside the guard profile. I managed to install the guards almost seamlessly except in a few places where I had to “pull” the guard over the cap of the hanger screw. If in doubt, order the sample and test the fit. Somebody complained that if the join between the guard panels happens to be far from the hangers on either side, the ends of the panels will sag. Somebody else recommended to screw the upper side of the guard to fascia in such places. On my roof, the part of the fascia above the gutter and the edge of the gutter itself is covered with rather thick plastic panel, so screwing the guards to fascia is practically impossible. Instead, I screwed the panels together through the overlapping tab. This provides satisfactory sturdiness to the join. I did the same in the corners where two panels overlap at the right angle and form a vertical gap (because of the profile) where the debris can easily be blown in. A screw or two was enough to press the ends tightly together and close the gap. It is infeasible to pierce the screw through the flimsy underneath panel because there is nothing to push it against. I used a hooked awl which I put through a hole in the upper panel and pulled the lower panel up while I was piercing the screw with the screwdriver. I installed about 300’ of the guards, 79 panels (more than 20’ still to go when the weather will permit). My roof has many corners, and I cleaned the gutter as I went (to set the ladder only once in each place). I did first 90’ of mostly straight gutter over concrete surface in about 4 hours. The rest took me almost 12 hours (in three days). It went much slower because there I had almost all the corners and because the soil surface under these parts of the house requires much more time to properly set and level the ladder. ... show more

  • Super easy to install, priced great!
Size Name: 5 Inch - 50 Feet
These are terrific. Easy to handle, easy to install, heavy gage aluminum. They just snap in and slide together. Just be aware that you need to buy self tapping screws to attach it to the gutters.
