  • These are not sturdy
One of the pieces broke while screwing it in.

  • They fit
They work well to keep the toilet seat in place

  • provides more customized installation of American Standard toilet seat
This accessory provides multiple configurations of certain specific models of American Standard slow close toilet seats. One of the packages most useful components is a set of stainless steel "adjustment washers" that permits moving the toilet seat about 1 inch forward or backward...allowing the seat and lid to remain more vertical instead of striking the tank. Very useful part. ... show more

  • Better than original parts, but could be made better
On the plus side, the plastic screws had a stronger head design, which allows higher torque. Four metal washers were included, which which provides a stronger grip for the seat. Both of these items were a welcome improvement. On the negative side, the rubber gaskets, which are definitely needed to avoid lid movement, do not fit, at all. I had to jam them in, and this diminished what they are for. The rubber tips do not align with the lid hinges, they were clearly not made for it. It would be more sensible to include lid hinges with the product so the rubber gaskets match up. ... show more

  • 4 Stars not 5 because how can you give 5 stars to a toilet accessory?
Well I know it is not top of mind for most folks and to be honest I never even knew such an accessory existed, but on the very day when I needed something like this, off to google I went and these popped up. They were exactly what I required to fix the toilet and arrived promptly from Amazon, end of story. ... show more

  • Solved the problem but...
The replacement plastic screw did fix the problem but I do have the following comments; a) the screw set cost something like $18 whereas the new toilet seat cost $42 so the replacement screws cost almost half of the new toilet seat set; and b) the toilet seat using these plastic screws are poorly designed whereby if you try to really tighten the screws, they break due to fragility (but if you don't tighten them very tightly, they fall off about once a month which is annoying). ... show more

  • Perfect, easy fix
I had one of the cheesy plastic bolts holding the lid on break. Probably from putting my foot up on the lid to put lotion on my legs after a shower. Apparently, that's too much to ask of a toilet lid these days. Sheesh. Anyway, this fixed id perfectly, with the usual leftover parts that I won't be able to find when it happens again 8 years from now. ... show more
