Not your original American Standard product.
Style: Elongated Front
Well I was disappointed I thought I was buying a genuine American Standard well built product. I kept it because it does the job but is flimsy creeks when you set on it I wouldn't buy it again.

Great product.
Style: Elongated Front
A little expensive, but well-worth the price. It shuts quietly, is semi soft, and it stays on the toilet, unlike the old one!

Gets the job done.
Style: Elongated Front
This seat is okay, not great but okay. I had recently purchased a nice wooden toilet seat. Had it about 2 months and dropped an almost empty can of air freshener on the ring of the seat and it split right in half on one side. At that point I just ordered an inexpensive seat from Amazon and as I stated, it's okay. It is slow close. It does fit perfectly on my oblong shaped toilet. But it is lightweight and kind of flimsy. But, I'm not spending the money on another wooden seat. I did purchase additional bolts or screws (whatever they're called) to replace the plastic ones that came with the seat. Those worked great.

Extremely happy with the purchase.
Style: Elongated Front
I purchased American Standard 5503A00B.020 Slow Elongated Closed Front Toilet Seat to try with one my bathroom. This toilet seat has exceeded my expectations in quality, finish and comfort. Quality and Comfort: The build quality is outstanding—sturdy and well-constructed with a smooth finish that adds a touch of elegance to my bathroom. The slow-close feature is a game changer, eliminating the annoying slamming sound while still providing a gentle, controlled closure every time. Easy Installation: I was pleasantly surprised by how straightforward the installation process was, and all necessary hardware included, it was a quick and hassle-free setup. Aesthetic Appeal: The white finish complements my bathroom décor perfectly, giving the space a clean, modern look. It’s evident that American Standard has put great thought into both design and functionality. Overall Satisfaction: This toilet seat has not only enhanced the comfort and style of my bathroom but also provided a reliable and durable solution. I’m planning to buy two more covers for my other bathrooms because I’m happy with the purchase.

Good Design, Works Well
Style: Elongated Front
I learned from another review before the purchase that the seat itself doesn't have plastic inserts attached to the underside. This was one reason I bought the seat to replace the old one which had started to crack. The old one did have the plastic inserts and one kept falling out after just a month or so of use, eventually disappearing (flushed away no doubt). What I didn't know before buying is that there is an elongated slot for the bolt, which makes the position adjustable. This solved a problem with every seat I had owned with this toilet, where the seat was too close to the tank, causing it to fall forward.

It’s a seat that leaves much to be desired
Style: Elongated Front
Does the job but issues with tightening to the stool. Studs are plastic with the single wing wing nut to tighten. When tightened to even the snuggest that can be mustered without the fear of snapping the stud the seat will shift if you don’t sit exactly square. Additionally the amount of flex when you sit down make you feel like you should go on a diet less you break the seat with your weight Soft close lid works very well though and no matter how hard the 9,5, or 3 year old tries will it slam. Nice easy to clean back just wish it was more solid.
