Description

VViViD Vinyl is designed for DIY’ers, offering premium wraps with industrial-grade durability and effortless installation. Whether you're customizing your vehicle or working on a professional project, VViViD provides the perfect balance of quality, flexibility, and ease of use. We've been in the vinyl wrapping game for over 10 years, trusted by millions of customers and showcased in world-class car shows. Our user-friendly vinyl wraps are easy to install and come with 500+ hours of video tutorials to help you get started. So why wait? Choose VViViD for your next vinyl wrapping project and experience the perfect combination of quality, affordability, and innovation! Post-heating is a crucial step in vinyl wrap installation that ensures a strong bond, smooth finish, and long-term durability. It activates the adhesive, enhances conformability, minimizes wrinkles, and prevents lifting over time. Heat-setting also reinforces the vinyl’s shape memory, reducing distortion and improving resistance to temperature changes. Forgetting this step risks premature wear and poor adhesion, making post-heating essential for a professional, long-lasting wrap. Post-heating is critical to preventing edge lifting. When vinyl is stretched beyond the edge of a surface, such as a hood, it will attempt to contract back due to its memory. This causes the adhesive to weaken, and the vinyl may pull away from the edge. Skipping post-heating accelerates this process, leading to premature edge lifting. Proper heating ensures the vinyl stays securely bonded, preventing the edges from lifting over time. These are CKWraps' must have tools to smoothly install vinyl wrap. VViViD has all the tools you will need to start your next vinyl project. Prepare your vehicle for a flawless vinyl wrap installation with CK Wraps. The preparation you do beforehand is just as important as the installation itself. Proper prep ensures a smooth application, long-lasting results, and a finish you’ll be proud to show off every time. Always install your vinyl lengthwise to achieve a clean, uniform finish. Most vinyl films are directional — especially matte, satin, and textured finishes — meaning the way they’re positioned affects how they reflect light. Proper alignment ensures a seamless, professional look every time. Hybrid plastisol coating creates a self-healing surface, protecting against swirls, abrasions, and scratches. Heat gun removes most damage. Our solvent-based acrylic adhesive cures in 40-ft evaporation tunnels, ensuring it won’t damage paint and allows repositioning without harm. VViViD’s air-channels vanish over time, ensuring a strong bond that won’t lift, peel, or allow contaminants and moisture to seep in. Advanced UV absorbers and light stabilizers protect against fading, cracking, and sun damage, with new improvements every quarter. How to know what size of vinyl do I need for my project? Measure the longest points of your project, keeping in mind VViViD vinyl is always 5ft wide. Use a sizing chart for reference, buy a little more extra vinyl for errors, and use seams for large surfaces if needed. Can my vinyl wrap survive the winter? Yes! Your vinyl wrap can survive winter with proper care. Use a ceramic coating like FUSE for protection, wash regularly with a vinyl-safe soap, avoid scrapers, and don’t use hot water or high-pressure washers. Park in a garage when possible. What tools do I need to wrap my car? You'll need a heat gun to stretch and set the vinyl, a knife for precise cuts, a squeegee to smooth out air bubbles, buffers for the squeegee edges to prevent scratches, and a tucking tool for clean edges and tight spaces. Why VViViD vinyl wraps are better than paint? At VViViD Vinyl, our wraps are more affordable than paint, fully reversible, and protect your car’s original finish. Unlike paint, wraps resist chips, UV damage, and scratches. Plus, they install faster and offer endless design possibilities! Does this vinyl wrap require a heat gun for installation? Yes, you will need a heat gun as the vinyl's adhesive is heat activated. Heat softens the vinyl which makes it more pliable and stretchable, making it a lot either install. Post heating also contributes to the long term durability of the vinyl wrap.

  • Easy to use and turns out really nice Easy to use and turns out really nice
Size: 1ft x 5ft Color: Gloss Viper Lime Green
I used it to change the color of my Chevy emblems and I think it turned out really well! Adhesion is good and can be moved after placement but once you put heat to it it’s stuck like glue! Super smooth finish as well You can use it on anything I’m actually thinking about trying it on rims next! So high marks for functionality. This vinyl is kind of thin I’ve definitely had decals that were twice as thick but it seems to hold up well no chipping or peeling on my front emblem yet after a couple of hundred miles! I will buy this vinyl again and I will be getting it in black to try on my and my wife’s cars rims! ... show more

  • Learning curve Learning curve
Size: 6ft x 5ft Color: Matte Miami Teal
Only giving 4 stars. This was my first time using vivid wrap, I have always used 3m. Some of the wrap was damaged when a received it, only the outer one or two layers of the roll, but still frustrating. I ordered 3 rolls, two of the Miami teal, and one matte black to redo some of the matte black already on my car while replacing some with teal. I thought I was ordering the gloss teal, however I got the matte teal. I went back and looked and it says I ordered the matte, even though I remember clicking the gloss teal. Kind of bummed and not sure how that happened, but it is what it is. The Miami teal is much harder to work with than the matte black as it’s thicker. It’s also harder to work with than the 3m wraps because it’s thicker and doesn’t seem to stretch the same. All in all I don’t regret my purchase, however I’ll definitely be keeping these things in mind before ordering wraps again and choosing if I go with vivid or 3m. For the price, it isn’t bad wrap though. Just keep in mind it is harder to work with than 3m wrap, and make sure you have a good heat gun to help with stretching and molding the wrap to the car without air pockets/bubbles. I will also say so far it has seemed to hold up well, however it hasn’t even been a month yet either so time will tell. The matte black also has more of a gray appearance than the 3m matte black. So you can tell if you previously had 3m on your car and planned to use vivid to replace a few panels of the wrap. Also for note, the 3m wrap on my car lasted over 10 years with minimal issues (ex husband backed into a pole with my car and damaged the wrap in a few spots). So I have pretty high standards for wrap. Also don’t forget to order the 3m vinyl wrap edge tape if you want the wrap to stay on and last without peeling off! I didn’t see any for sale by vivid on here so I went with 3m again on that. Again, still not bad for the price even if it only ends up lasting a year or two. (Will update if I have issues with the wrap later). If you’ve never wrapped a car before, make sure you have the right tools too, it will make all the difference in how your wrap job turns out. I felt the need to write this review because my shop had only ever worked with 3m wrap, but since I’m currently home pregnant, I decided to look at other options to redo my car at home by myself. Also- heads up! Matte Miami teal, has sparkles in it. Which I think is odd since it’s a matte wrap. Picture is of my car after wrapping the hood with matte Miami teal (yes it needs washed badly) the sparkles in the matte make it look funky and almost a different color. ... show more

  • Interior wrapped and I’m happy Interior wrapped and I’m happy
Size: 1.5ft x 5ft Color: black
I drive a 2009 BMW 328i and I ordered (3) rolls of 1.5ft x 5ft and I still have a roll left after wrapping my trim . This just upgraded my car for-sure . I have been wanting to wrap this brown trim for the longest and now I won’t ever go back . I felt a piano/gloss black would have looked better but I knew the dust and smudges would have drove me insane . I’m glad I went with the matte black ! I love black on black 😎 looks I give it a 5/5 . Alright now time to review the product’s leniency! It’s tough! I recommend laying your trim on it and applying pressure from <—-middle —-> out by hand . Peel back and crease out bubble as you go . Once you’ve laid the wrap to your object , lay it down wrap side up and apply heat from your heat gun in and out to lay it down . Don’t hold it too close or too long or you’ll burn a hole through . Now work your way from one side to the other don’t jump around . Take your time and don’t force the wrap . It gets tough quick so heat , set your gun down . Pull and repeat . Make sure you have a razor blade , heat gun and (optional) squeegee. I didn’t use a squeegee because my hands and fingers were enough . Also quick tip . SAVE THAT SCRAP ! You can wrap a lot of small things with it ! Overall I’m happy with my purchase and I’ll order more if this wrap takes a beating ! ... show more

  • Quality wrap, easy to lay and very forgiving Quality wrap, easy to lay and very forgiving
Size: 10ft x 5ft Color: Matte Space Pearl
Great produce and very forgiving if thinking about wrapping yourself this is your sign to try it . After a face book market place rip off and having my bike down for two weeks for terrible wrap job I saw it and decided I could do better than this and that exactly what I did . I wrapped the panel at 1:30 am after riding for hours on the street for my bday and working a full shift earlier in the day and still did better than the scam artist who sold me my wrap due to the quality of this product . The front z panel I wrapped the rear two panels he wrapped but even I cleaned those up and can tell once redone with this product bike will be amazing all for 80 bucks for a 10x5 sheet . Ps make sure you pick up a small heat gun wrap can not be installed without it and will not stick if you some how get it lay over ... show more

  • THE ULTIMATE WORSE. THE ULTIMATE WORSE.
Size: 50ft x 5ft Color: Gloss White
Go elsewhere. Seriously, get 3M, or anything else. If you're considering this wrap to wrap your entire car, don't do it. Kept getting "fingers/wrinkles" no matter what. Yeah, you can take it out with heat, but then you literally have to work mm by mm to get it to cooperate with you. The tackiness is...strange. Some parts seemed tackier than others. I had to wrap around a trim--making sure I pressed it tightly around it. The next day it lifted from the trim causing a bubble in the center. If there was an actual air release, or if it would have adhered better, the bubble shouldn't have been there. Less than a quarter through the roll, there were SEVERAL (at least 10) feet of damaged vinyl. I contacted Amazon and they told me I needed to return it. It was over a week, I no longer had the box and it would have just been more of a hassle. If you're trying to wrap a flat surface, then sure, this will probably work for you. I used other brands before and should have stuck with them. That's what I get for trying to save money. Oh, if it gets slightly cold, it will rip when you're trying to work with it. Another reviewer posted a video of his hood wrapped saying to do it correctly. His hood was sanded. You shouldn't have to sand you car before wrapping. I did all the prep procedures and this wrap still came out horrendous. The air release is only in certain parts. I ended up having several bubbles all over the car. Wasted $300 on this product. If you have a sports car with sharp edges, don't even bother. I could keep going, but this wrap was such a headache. I would NOT RECOMMEND at all. UPFATE: Went to peel off some of it after trying to get it to work forever, and it peeled off my clear coat on my NEW AUDI. $&#! this vinyl SUCKS! ... show more

  • Tears easy. Not impressed
Size: 3ft x 5ft Color: Matte Metallic White
The color is nice but the vinyl feels a bit brittle and tears easily. I bought 2 rolls and the edges on both were already torn when I took them out of the box. I would have sent them back if I didn’t need a temporary project done now. I was told in a car wrapping class to stay away from 3mm but thought it would condone for this. ... show more

  • Awesome to work with nice finished look to it. Awesome to work with nice finished look to it.
Size: 10ft x 5ft Color: black
First time working with a satin-matte vinyl. Hubby wanted to black out his 2022 Ram 3500. Vvivid is my go-to vinyl for ‘difficult’ jobs (like grills). I usually plastic dip these but wholly crap!!! It would take me a week (and I'd have to rent a front-end loader to help hold his bumper lol) just to get his grill off to do it!!! Vvivid’s black matte satin black is really nice to work with. Thicker than I thought it would be but it isn't a problem and it conforms nicely with heat. Like anything they make, it is DYI-friendly so it's repositionable with less tack until heated (key point there to the folks that claim their vinyl doesn't stick). One BIG caveat to satin vinyl (I forgot with my first piece I layed)… DON’T HEAT AND PULL TOO FAR! You'll end up redoing the section because of stretch /fade marks in the vinyl. 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️… (oops) Be gentile and ‘relax’ the vinyl into curves and recesses with heat. It'll do it. Have faith in it. The finished look is outstanding. I'm not done as I have to do his truck a few hours a day (at night) when hubby gets home from work so it's a slow process on a HUGE chrome grill. I think the finished product is going to look amazing and I can't wait to add the pictures! Although I do like matte and satin finishes I personally wouldn't choose it for myself. However, after working with this black and seeing it on my hubby’s truck, I've had a change of heart. 😉 Highly recomend this product. Very nice silky satin finish. 👌🏻 ... show more
