Description
Engineered to prevent clogs, the Champion PRO Chair-Height Round Front Toilet from American Standard brings powerful performance and comfort to bathrooms where space is limited. Tested and proven to flush a bucket of golf balls, this water-saving toilet uses 1.28 gpf (4.8 Lpf) in combination with a large 4-in. flush valve to effectively clear the bowl. Designed to help improve cleanliness, the Champion PRO toilet features a PowerWash® rim to scrub the bowl and EverClean® surface. Seat is sold separately. From the Manufacturer Water Conservation with out compromise. American Standard's HET (High Efficiency Toilets) flush on 1.28GPF or less every flush. Well I’ve never tested it on golf balls, but guess what it DOESN’T flush? The one thing you'd buy a golf ball flushing toilet for! Ripped out our old toilet and replaced it with this thing that barely flushes the yellow stuff. To make matters worse, it’s somehow harder to clean than our old toilet! Bowl photo is after three flushes and toilet brush. We have to do that EVERY time someone uses it and only comes clean using soap. I hope this is NOT something the rest of us consider the “American Standard!”

A toilet worth raving about

This was our second Champion Pro (and second with the round front). The first, bought 7 months ago, had some issues with the flapper leaking that took a while to finally fix. Once that issue was resolved, though, we LOVE THIS TOILET. It flushes like a champ. We have teenagers who would routinely plug all our older toilets. Not anymore! We have knee problems in the family that made getting on and off our older, shorter toilets a literal pain. Not anymore! Our older toilets used to start smelling the day after we cleaned them. Not anymore! The anti-microbial surface really helps with this, I think. Our second Champion Pro (this one) has been a champ from the start. This one took me less than 30 minutes to install (not including the time to remove the older toilet, or fix the rusting-off grooves on the "exhaust" pipe flange). My wife loves the look of the round front, and the modest profile. With the Mayfair wooden slow-close toilet seat (which is also PHENOMENAL), this is a winning combo. We couldn't be happier. And I'm almost not embarrassed to have expressed these opinions about a toilet.

Missing essential parts.

This product did not come with either a toilet seat or a wax ring .... they expect you to go to the hardware store for that. The seat cost $40, with tax, so WTF? The installation was OK, but the toilet itself is pretty noisy and the tank takes forever to fill back up. I bought a much cheaper toilet with even less flow (.8 gal) for way less at the store, and it included the toilet seat and wax ring, and installation was a breeze. This was a rip-off. Stay away from it.

This toilet stinks.

The lid on the back of this toilet doesn't fit snugly. It just slides right off. And the water supply tank sets about 2 inches away from the wall. So it looks like the toilet needs to slide back towards the wall. It seems to flush fine which was a concern, but I seriously regret buying this toilet.

Difficult to assemble, tank gasket needs to be compressed like crazy in order to not leak. The little plastic wrenches they provide to tighten the tank bolts are a joke, there is no way you can get enough leverage with them. Used a ratchet and I'm surprised I didn't crack anything.Currently have to hold the handle down to get a complete flush, need to adjust. The float started sticking almost immediately, have to take the lid off and bump the float to shut off the toilet. It hasn't clogged, thats about the only positive.

Best on the market

Easy to install. The seat fits just fine but we changed to a soft seat. Flushes cleanly and fast. Refills quickly.Installed in less than a half hour. We use these in our apts and trailer rentals. Build and sell houses and these are or go to brand. We`ve used Kohler and Toto but they usually have bad valves and clog due to the smaller trapway and smaller flush valve which gives less force.
