I purchased this toilet despite mixed reviews about priming, leaking rappers and defective valves.all of those issues could be addressed so I took a shot. I was primarily interested in the flushing capacity since I was fed up with double flushing not to mention the frequent, unpleasant chore of scrubbing the bowl. I've had the bowl for a month and I was one of the lucky ones as I had no issues with the mechanics but even had I not been lucky this bowl would be well worth the minor repair needed. This thing can flush! Rarely is there need for a second flush. It cleans itself amazingly well, is quiet, and refills quickly. I'm aware that it is blizzard to rave about a toilet but rave I must. Don't hesitate. Do not, however purchase the seat from American standard my review for that is quite different ... show more

We ordered this toilet and did not get the whole thing. We got the tank but didn’t get the bowl. We are in the process of lugging it to UPS to return it. Frustrating!

    • Sometimes it flushes, mostly not.
The media could not be loaded. Bought this toilet several years ago. It’s never really flushed right. Initially it flushed without holding down the handle but that changed pretty quick. I’ve snaked it out, taken it up off the floor to check the drain, “primed” it... it’s lousy. For the past year or so it won’t flush unless you hold the handle down the whole time. It was pricey when I first bought it. I won’t ever buy a “Vormax” model again. Americans Standard is made in Mexico also. ... show more

This is the worst toilet I've ever owned and I've installed dozens of toilets in our rental properties. It simply will not flush without holding the handle down. It worked for the first 6 months if you really forcefully pushed down the handle. Now it will only flush if you stand and hold the handle down. I've adjusted it according to the manual and no luck. The flaper valves are expensive. I really feel this was a te=ible purchase. ... show more

    • Great toilet
This toilet has two stages. Flush it quickly and only the first stage flushes. Hold the handle down (for a good 20 seconds) and both stages kick in and that stage swallows the 12 golf balls in the old commercial. This toilet kicks butt and it has a stylish look to it.
