Very strange consistency, more like a hand lotion than shampoo. It doesn't lather-up like a typical soap or shampoo, more like conditioner. It seems to be working, though I still have issues with dry scalp on occasion. Other odd thing is there's no safety seal which caused me to return the first order that arrived leaking. Second/replacement also had no safety seal (under the cap) which may be normal but unusual to see these days. If you're a skeptic, in the least, you may fear this is counterfeit but seeing as though both products I received were identical, from what I can tell, I think it's authentic. ... show more

I love American Crew shampoo. This is a travel size item though. It’s very annoying because it was the try this recommendation when I tried to use by again from my last order and couldn’t. This is ridiculously overpriced.

I have been buying this product for my son for over a year but for some reason the normal sized bottle I have been buying is not available. This is a TINY bottle and the product was off. It was rubbery and only came out of the bottle in long, stretched out clumps. The bottle I received seems to be old and the product inside was either old or a different, garbage product. I threw it out and will be switching to a different brand. They should be ashamed for sending out trash. ... show more

This is a very small bottle and the smell is not good. It smells like bad medical smell + peppermint. To me it smells significantly worse than other dandruff shampoos that have the exact same Pyrthione Zinc 1% active ingredient. It is also a very thick cream so it is a little tough to dispense from the small squeeze bottle. I will not buy again, not a good value.
