I’m impressed!! Many reviews complained about this being too heavy, which is what I wanted, so I’m thrilled I ordered it. It’s not a cheap, lightweight, discount store, velour throw. This throw is exceptionally well made. It is heavy but not overly. The ribbing is only on the front. The back has a beautiful, tastefully plush backing, same ivory color. I loved the fact that when I opened it, I was wearing black slacks, yet no lint or fuzzies stuck to me. As far as the IVORY color, I would call it light beige or dark cream. Ivory should be more off-white. It was vacuum packaged but fluffed up right away. Wrinkles disappeared the first day. I haven’t washed it yet, but if there are any issues in the washer or dryer, I’ll update my post.

I received my first Amelie Faux Fur throw with matching pillows (white) last year for Christmas, thanks to my son. During all the cooler months I've been taking it back and forth from bedroom to media room, as it is the all purpose cuddles blanket. I like it on my recliner. I like to see it thrown over my sofa, looking so inviting. I like it next to me in bed so when I wake up to read I can tuck it all around the top of me for warmth. It's also just nice to snug my hand into while I sleep. The backing is as pleasant to the touch as the front. It cleans up beautifully in the washer and dryer. It isn't too thick or too thin. So I ordered my 2nd one in the tanner color to keep on the bed:) Next Christmas, this is going to be given as gifts.

The media could not be loaded. I’ve been looking for a blanket like this for some time, and this one is the closest I’ve found. It is so incredibly wonderfully soft, warm, and has the perfect weight. I washed it right out of the box and it came out perfect with very little lint. It’s the good kind of plush that is deep and thick, but not overly long. I included a video that will hopefully show what I mean. The non-plush side is also lovely and so soft, the texture is perfect. The color is beautiful as well. The reason I’m giving 4 stars though is because I desperately want it to be bigger. If that had been an option I gladly would have paid more for it. It is at least not a throw size (which I literally don’t even see the point of; blankets are made for snuggling under, not covering only half of you!), but it’s not roomy. I’m 5’2, and I still have to very carefully arrange it to get it to cover all of me. It’s impossible to wrap up completely in, which is a bummer because I have a leather couch and don’t like sitting on it with a lot of bare skin. What I prefer to do is fold a blanket in half and sit on it, and wrap up in the other half, but that is not even close to possible with this. It’s also too small to share, even when snuggling, unless you’re ok with random feet and elbows sticking out. All that said, it is sooooo so soft and I’m obsessed with the color and shaved stripe design, so I’m dealing with the small size.
