  • Runs cool and runs well.
Size: (Pack of 1) Style: Processor
Now that prices on the 14th gen i5 14600k are up, this is probably the single best value / best price to performance cpu on the market these days. No need for the average user to get anything more than this. Ive got this being used with a tiny little 36mm cpu cooler, and not an issue in the world. Handles everything I’ve thrown at it with ease, and doesnt even make the cpu fan ram up much at all. Silent operation at most tasks even with that tiny little cooler (axp90-x36). Probably even better once I eventually undervolt it. ... show more

Great balance of performance and value. Handles games and multitasking really well with good temperatures! It handles my rtx 5060 very well.

  • Cool, Stable Zen 5 Power Meets Poor Shipping Protection
Size: (Pack of 1) Style: Processor
I picked up the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X to see how the new Zen 5 architecture handles daily workloads and gaming; while the processor is a fantastic performer, the shipping experience was a total letdown. It arrived on a rainy day in poor packaging, and the box was completely soaked through by the time I got to it. Since the CPU was dry inside its plastic casing and worked fine, I decided to keep it; however, the ruined box definitely kills the future resale value, so keep that in mind if you like to trade up later. Performance-wise, this chip is incredibly efficient. It runs very cool thanks to the 65W TDP, and it has been perfectly stable even with a -10 PBO Curve Optimizer negative offset on all cores. It handles my Kingston Fury Beast 6400MT/s CL32 (38-38-86) DDR5 RAM beautifully on my MSI PRO X870E-P WIFI motherboard and Zotac RTX 4070 Twin Edge Non-OC GPU. I have noticed one small quirk where I occasionally get a terminal underscore or cursor hang in the top left corner after restarting from the BIOS; it is likely just a minor handshake issue on the graphics side, but once the system is up, it is rock solid. Overall, this is a great lower mid-range choice if you want modern performance without the massive power draw or heat of higher-end chips. It plays very nicely with high-speed DDR5 and offers plenty of room for undervolting and tuning. Just be prepared for minimal shipping protection; if it’s raining in your area, you might want to make sure you can grab the package as soon as it lands to avoid a soggy box. ... show more

  • BEST VALUE FOR PRICE CPU EVER
Size: (Pack of 1) Style: Processor
Ryzen 5 9600x literally offers only a ~11% weaker performance than a Ryzen 7 9800x3d. That is for half the price. This CPU is amazing, it’s the most worth CPU in the market for the price right now. Especially in this crisis we’re in (2026 ai Ramageddon) where building a PC is a luxury. Obviously this CPU lacks in performing tasks if you compare it to 9800x3d, but for half the price, the gap in performance isn’t even noticeable. Super worth, probably the best priced cpu in the market as of now.. ... show more

  • Snappy upgrade compared to my previous Ryzen 7 5800x
Size: (Pack of 1) Style: Processor
As of today the second day of ownership i am quite happy with purchase. Due to life ive not had time to stress test this CPU yet. Will update my review based on that. But just initial use compared to my AMD 5800x Cpu i had before i can tell its very snappy. Thats saying something too because the 5800x blew me away with its operating speed. Everything from opening programs, browsing the web, and turning on the PC feels twice as fast now that ive swapped to a AM5 system even though i had 32gb of DDR4 previously i still noticed the speed of the operation was down. But for the cpu install it went well. Came quickly. My only complaint is that Amazon insists on using plastic/paper envelopes for things that really should be in a box to protect it with packing. Box came with a little bit of bend and flex signs like being under things. will update review once i do some benchmarks. 4/17/26 ... show more

  • It Can Achieve Greatness for a lot less $!
Size: (Pack of 1) Style: Processor
This is one of those chips that people don’t really find unless they’re looking for it. I needed an entry level AM5 Socket CPU that didn’t break the bank or put a hole in my wall. On a new Mobo upgrade for future tech, i spent years building my last pc and it COMPETED with these next gen socket builds. I mean it’s brilliant for them to make us have to rebuild a PC at a PREMIUM price when all we needed is one item. Anyways, Moral of the story, I upgraded, paid for those insanely expensive DDR5 Ram, this CPU & Mobo. After all that, I didn’t even get an FPS increase. I notice my MS is faster, PC is snappier ofcourse. I THINK, now I can game at higher settings while keeping the same FPS generally. I need more time, I honestly can’t believe ITS not more noticeable. I must have had a premium AM4 socket build, regardless Great chip! Keep old review. It’s all gravy ... show more

  • This processor is all the juice 95% of you need
Size: (Pack of 1) Style: Processor
9100f was really taking a dump on itself, gaming performance on very easy games with my RX 6600 went down to like, 40fps. Dug through my junk… Fixed up a “broken” motherboard someone got thermal paste in and then returned to me as arrived damaged, slipped this in with some prohibitively expensive DDR5 sticks and fired up the computer and it was purring. Memory OCed to 5800hz with zero effort. Video transcoding shot into the stratosphere. Super stable. Gaming went up to my 240hz refresh rate cap the same day, on Linux to boot. Super nice processor at a great price. Couldn’t be happier. ... show more
