Edit: My stupid self totally forgot about the BIOS. A quick BIOS update(and a mini anxiety attack during the process as a power failure or crash will brick the motherboard😰) and the CPU fired to life, giving my pc speed it never had before! Very happy with the performance so far and now I can run my virtual machines, and Discord bot servers at the same time with next to no lag. Highly recommend this processor if you're looking to build a nice budget pc, or upgrade from a slower processor.     • Not the best for gaming, but it works. PCIe 3.0
This CPU is only 4C/8T which limits it's capabilities tremendously. I have it paired with an ASUS Radeon RX 6500 XT, (Which doesn't necessarily help it out in the gaming department.) and it does moderately well. It can run Apex Legends, The Forest, GTA V, Days Gone, Fortnite, Call of Duty, and some other games that aren't too demanding. If you were looking at this CPU for a good long term investment, don't. It does the job for now but it will be replaced soon. You get what you pay for. With this CPU you will only get 1080p at medium-high settings, even with the overclock. This was an upgrade from an FX 8320, and it was a great purchase at just 60 dollars. It uses much less electricity and runs way cooler while performing much better.
