Sometimes retro is best -- and these Amazon Basics Plunger-2 Pack (what I call retro) are fantastic! I was able to clear the stuff in my toilet and flush within just a couple of minutes while using an Amazon Basics Plunger. I really appreciated the next morning deliver, which saved me time, money and frustration I would have had going to the BIG BOX STORES or (forbid) call a PLUMBER. No bells, whistles or holder came with these Amazon Basic Plungers, but that is not important to me. These two plungers are sturdy, durable and did the job quickly -- definitely value for money at under $20 for 2 plungers. Amazon, you were wise to have quick delivery on home tools at a good price and good quality, that are needed in a hurry; plus the black/white plungers are actually attractive. They are smaller sized than I thought they would be, however they fit my kitchen sinks perfectly which is why I bought them. Stubborn drain clog somewhere in the walls of my condo, couldn't get at it, nor could the engineers. Two of these, one on each drain, and double pump the crap (literally?) out of your drain. It Will Work. Mine took a few minutes and smelled awful. But my drains are finally cleared. Pro Tip: Scrub the heck out of your sinks when done. (I think I was pulling hair and sewage at the end...) Minus one star for general house utility.

What can you say about a toilet plunger. These look better than the options I found in local stores, and they are reasonably priced and they do the basic job. I like to keep one by each of the 5 toilets we have in our house, even though the need to use one is very infrequent. There are currently available on the market several flavors of plungers. These are just the old traditional, plain Jane, plungers. Which is what I prefer.

Plunger handles arrived with strange oily residue covered with fingerprints. Definitely didn’t seem new. I washed them off with dish soap and they seem fine after that. It seems odd to complain that plungers aren’t clean, but you expect a new thing to be clean, and the oily residue would have made actually using these things a Three Stooges level comedy.
