This would be an excellent seed spreader but not great for salt. Had to be very small salt and it still jammed a lot.

This machine is a waste, bought one for my husband for Christmas, had to buy batteries separately ok no problem, bought the exact brand they specify, the door for the salt gets stuck and doesn’t spray salt like the video, really wanted him to love this present , the company was rude when I contacted them about a refund, didn’t refund the total amount because they want to deduct for restocking fee to sell it to someone else, took a long time to get the “remaining refund balance,” and didn’t even receive that until another email to them which they said they already refunded me which they had not so when I asked for the confirmation number for the refund all of a sudden the refund quickly shows up , I would never buy from this seller again and strongly recommend others to beware ... show more

Beware if you bought it on Amazon, Ryobi does NOT cover items purchased through Amazon. My spreader worked great for the first 35 days of on and off work. Now it does not turn on even with a full battery. Not a good product very disappointed with this last one. I have had others that worked for years at the same task. ... show more
