Amazingly comfortable - there is a bit of cushioning in toe & arch area - and nicely constructed. For me, the color was perfect: it is more of a medium grey than a light grey, so the photo is a wee bit misleading (but not far off). I always wear a 6.5 in heels and a 7 in flats (and always a 6 in Crocs sandals, fwiw), but after reading reviews, went with a 7 for these and it was the right size. I would be wearing these w slightly thicker, warmer socks, since they're boots ... and when they arrived I tried them on while wearing a thick pair of Smartwool socks and they were a great fit. So I know they'll be great with medium-weight book socks, or anything lighter. Like I do with all my new shoes, I treated them with some "rain/snow" spray and let that dry before storing them in my shoe closet. Since these are fabric, that's even more important than if they were true leather. Overall, very happy: great value!

The design is sleek, trendy, and gives off all the right Western vibes, but without feeling too over the top. The best part? They fit my size 13 feet like a dream. Comfort is a HUGE win for me, and these are surprisingly comfortable for ankle boots—no pinching or awkward tight spots. I was worried about finding a cute pair that actually fit well, but these were a game-changer. Plus, they look great with everything—jeans, skirts, dresses, you name it. For the price, you can't go wrong. Its a classy boot. Although I haven't worn them long term yet, I had no problem keeping them on in my house doing house work to test their comfortability. I was thoroughly surprised at the comfort and quality. I do have to say that I have always worn boot socks with any of my boots. I just find it more comfortable all around not feeling any part of a boot against my leg. So I've never had the problem of boot irritability against my legs. I want to order all the color options!! True to size. 130 lbs. Size 8 shoe.
