I was a little worried because my wrist is tiny for a 30 y/o. But I read on another review that someone had the same problem as me and went with it anyway and it fit just right. I believed them and ordered it. And yes! Thankfully it's true, it's a lot smaller then it looks in the pictures and I seriously just wanted a NORMAL watch. I only wanted something that can tell me the time, that's it. And this perfect little watch does just that. Tell me the time, isn't heavy, isn't bulcky or annoying. It's simple, cute, and comfortable. It did get a little wet in the rain, and sometimes when I wash the dishes and so far it's holding on like a champ. Will order again if anything happens to mine or maybe when I'm ready to have a different color. For now though I absolutely love it and have only good things to say about it. ... show more

    • Super Nice for the Price
This is a nice little watch that looks like it would cost more than it does. For under $15, I’m impressed. It wasn’t difficult to set the time, and I like that the seconds can be zeroed out separate from anything else. If I then set the minutes and the hour, the seconds keep counting and don’t zero out again. I do wish the day of the week were larger at the top center of the clock face. But it’s easy to check the full date with a press of the top right button and to light up the clock face (for three seconds) with a press of the bottom right button. The calendar function works only while pressing the button; release the button, and the display reverts to the clock face. This Amazon Essential watch is a rebranded Armitron pro sport model IW-YP12585-2AE (the final AE being tacked on when the watch is sold by Amazon Essentials). Using the model number, you can find the manual online and download it if you prefer a PDF to keeping the paper manual and finding it when you forget how some function works. Oh, and like a Fitbit, this watch is water resistant and doesn’t need to be removed while showering or doing dishes. ... show more

    • Good but not perfect
I wanted a basic water resistant watch that can take being worn in a physically busy environment. It does. There are a couple of things that I find annoying. The buttons frequently get bumped and switched to the timer or editing mode. The other is the the part the tip of the band gets tucked into slides off easily, allowing the end of the band to flop around. It is easy to read. The profile is not bulky.     • Get out of 24 hour mode!
Color: Teal/Silver
To change between 24 hour mode, or military time, and 12 hour mode: get into the time setting mode, get to where you are adjusting the hour, and proceed past 24, and the next 24 hours will be in 12 hour mode. Keep going and the following 24 hours will be in 24 hour mode.

This watch used to be sold on Amazon by a different company for cheaper. Amazon clearly just copied the exact watch though and started selling their own version instead, then removed the other companie from the website. The first picture is Amazon’s watch, the second picture is the original. Now, I used the original computer companies watch is for a long time I really like them, they were easy to use and set up, and they lasted me for a good couple years usually before they would ever break which is pretty good considering they were only about $10. They were water resistant and I never had to take them off and I like the minimalist look that they had. These new Amazon watches however are not nearly as easy to use they don’t display the date or the year they only display the day of the week which is not nearly as useful to me. They’re really hard to use, the button set up is really confusing and they don’t have as many functions as the original watch. It’s not as easy to set alarms our set timers because the timers on the new watch tend to just keep going even if you turn them off. Now I ordered the watch from Amazon originally because I assumed it was the original watch I had before. Like I said I’ve been using Armitron’s watches for a few years now and you can imagine how upset I was to find out that Amazon had just replaced the watch with an almost exact copy for a higher price. These watches are awful I will never be buying them again and I just order mine off of the companies website now. If you do like the design of the watch I would recommend doing the same thing because the original companies function better and they’re easier to use. As per functionality the Amazon watch works fine, I mean it still tells time and everything. It is waterproof too, it’s just not as easy to use and that’s really my biggest concern. The alarm is the most annoying part it tends to turn itself off and on a lot so it’s not a reliable alarm in anyway and it goes off a lot of random times. The original watch never really did this for me I think it just goes to show how bad it’s getting on Amazon for them to just blatantly steal other companies products and sell them off as their own. I’d heard of that happening before but never seen it myself. So I think the original watch is great, the second picture, with the watch still packaged. So that’s where I buy mine. ... show more

    • Short band - not great if you have larger wrists
Cute. The band was almost too small for my thicker wrists. Easy to read. Not intuitive programming for me. I recommend keeping the instructions in case you bump the buttons and accidentally set an alarm like I did. It held up well to heavy and watery use. I wash a lot of dishes at work and it got wet a lot. I got annoyed with the short band and stopped using if solely for that reason. ... show more

    • Very good, but do not lose the instructions!
I love this watch. I have the one with the silver strap. It has a small dial, which I like because my wrist is small. It is definitely waterproof. I have worn it to water aerobics class many times. Unfortunately I lost the instructions that came with the watch. It was hard to figure out how to reset the time when we switched from daylight savings to standard time.     • Does exactly what I want and lasts!

So it’s hard to use with the instructions included but after looking them up online I learned to use it. The military time and alarm can be turned off. The watch can act as a stopwatch, light up in the dark, track the day of the week, and work as an alarm and for 14-16$ that’s exactly what I need. I work outdoors with lots of animals that could easily snap through the plastic straps but it has lasted so much longer than I expected. I also get it really gross and dirty but it’s easy to clean and water proof. I’m getting another one to wear on my days off because this watch is so subtle and light that I don’t feel it and constantly check my empty wrist for the time. ... show more
