And yes, I have a chubby neck but this fit me more like a choker. I'll need an extender and I never need one on a true 18" chain. ALSO, the chain came TANGLED! I already read one review from another buyer who had the same issue. Really? This shouldn't be happening. Update: I’ve now been through two. :( the chain is very weak and breaks way more easily than i thought. This is my favorite necklace I’ve ever owned!! I’ve been looking for a simple, beautiful “every day” opal necklace for a long time!! I just Think this is so stunningly simple!

The stone is beautiful just as other reviewers stated amd they also stated that the chain was essentially a ball of knots and they were not kidding. I just purchased a necklace from a different vendor rather than spend time trying to detangle that mess of a necklace. It's a real shame, too. The seller would be better off selling this charm without a necklace than risk hurting their reputation and ratings with reviews that have to focus on such things. I am very happy with the charm but must take off a star for the very bad handling by the packager. ... show more

I saw lots of reviews complaining about this coming in a bag and tanged. I was fully prepared to cut the chain off as I wanted was the pendent anyway. I was pleasantly surprised to find the necklace and pendant came in a box came in a box and were not tangled at all. The chain is very delicate so I wouldn't expect it to last long. Buyer Beware!!! I read reviews prior to purchasing. I expected low quality in the chain, but I didn’t expect it to be this knotted and broken. It was in a box. The box has a small bag with the necklace in it. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.
