Full disclaimer out of the gate - I've never had slip-on shoes before so I don't know how these stack up against a well-established brand. That said, I do like these shoes quite a bit after having worn them pretty frequently over the last few weeks. They're quite light while also being very breathable and comfortable, so perfect for walking around. The style on them is relatively simple with an interesting but basic tread design on the bottom (didn't photo it because I've gotten them dirty walking around a bunch and didn't want to give a bad impression) that doesn't feel like it's going to cause any slippage issues. The shoe fabric itself it very stretchy and perfect for sliding on and off. Despite being relatively simple, they still feel like they're of decent quality and that they'll last a while. On the downside, the fabric on the top of the shoe, probably because it is so stretchy, seems like it's going to absorb a lot of dirt and throw off the color, especially for a lighter color like the grey I got. Also, a 9.5 is a good fit for me normally and occasionally I venture into a 10 for certain brands. In this case, the 9.5 almost feels slightly too big, to the point where it feels like my foot could slide around a little in them (which could partially be because of the elastic nature) or that they might come off easily if I tried to sprint at all. Lastly, and VERY minor, when I slide the shoe on, I do oftentimes have to pull the "tongue" of the shoe out as it has a tendency of folding over easily when I put my foot in. Obviously, an annoyance and not at all a dealbreaker. All in all though, I'm a fan so far. At a (current) price point of just under $29, these feel like good all-around value. I got these shoes for my husband as an easy slip on to wear around the yard sort of shoe. When he put them on, he liked them immediately saying they were lightweight and comfortable. He did mention that they made him feel taller and considering he is 6’5 that’s really saying something. I guess that means that the insoles are well cushioned. He’s also been wearing them every day, which I guess is also another testament to their comfort and quality. With how lightweight they are and how breathable the top fabric seems I can’t really attest at this point to how durable they will be long-term, but for the price you really can’t go wrong. My husband being tall and wearing a size 13 it can be harder to find something he finds “all day” comfortable and so I would be OK just buying another pair once these wore out. I ordered these to have a relatively inexpensive and easy to put on pair of shoes for just casual everyday use, and have found them to be well suited for this role. I have more costly shoes with custom orthopedic inserts for situations where I know I'll be on my feet walking for many hours, but these Amazon Essentials slip-on shoes are perfect for other times. I find them comfortable, with flexible fabric material, and appear to be well-made. I think they look nice as well. I actually wore them to a recent community concert band performance where my regular sneakers might have looked too casual, but dressy shoes would have looked too formal. ... show more
