I continue to be impressed by the style and quality of Amazon Essentials clothing. This sweater fits great and is made from a medium-weight fabric that should stand the test of time. All in all, an excellent value. UPDATE: Some reviewers mentioned experiencing shrinkage. To avoid the risk, I chose to air dry mine which will also be kinder to the fabric over the long run. The price, look, and quality are fine. Or pretty good, even. But the sizing? Bizarre. I almost always fit perfectly into a men's large. Got the large and both the sleeves and the torso were way too short. Exchanged it for an XL. The sleeves in the chest are perfect, but the torso is still probably about an inch too short. I tend to order men's shirts a lot. They are usually more comfortable, easier to take care of and more durable. They also fit me better. I'm short 5'4" with size 38DD boobs. I'm a tad overweight at 175 and all the extra weight that isn't in my boobs sits right over my hips in a large circle. It almost looks like a tire, lol. This is just a good basic sweater. It's warm, but not super heavy. I would say medium weight. The sleeves just cover my hands and the sweater hits just below my butt and covers up all the bumps. At my job, we have to keep the room on the chillier side for the instrumentation we use, so I tend to layer for work. This is perfect with a long sleeve t-shirt underneath. And I can still fit a flannel over it if I need it. The plum color is really nice, and actually plum! and I must have like it so much that I ordered the same color for the Amazon Essential crewneck sweatshirt. Don't do that, they look almost exactly the same except for the material. It's only been through the wash once, but I don't foresee any issues there. For $19 on sale, it's a great deal! ... show more

This sweater is comfortable and has a classic, versatile look that works well for both casual and slightly dressier occasions. The cotton material feels soft, and the fit was generally as expected. Good value sweater, but I HIGHLY recommend sizing up one because it runs on the smaller side. I’m usually a size large, or even a size medium sometimes, but I ordered the XL due to other reviewers saying it runs small and it shrinks, so I’m glad I did because the XL fits perfectly.

I am allergic to anything polyester and this is a very nice cotton sweater. Good quality, not real heavy weight, but not see-through. I would say a medium weight. It holds its shape nicely. I plan on buying another color this month.
