I would have expected a chair of this quality to cost at least $1200, so the value is pretty unmatched as far as I’m concerned. Every other chair in this price range is cheap plastic “leather,” extremely tiny, or both. The chair is properly-proportioned and commanding, and looks great in my pseudo-traditional living space. Assembly was literally just screwing the legs on. The leather is top-grain, but arrived pretty dry — I’m not knocking any points off for this, because it is something easily fixed. Is it too good to be true? I don’t think so —Amazon is probably selling these early units at a loss, to drive reviews and help their new furniture brands establish themselves in the marketplace. Other Amazon-brand top-grain leather chairs quality seem to have been raised to a more viable price range once they hit several hundred reviews. If you are considering one of these under-priced chairs, I personally recommend getting in early, before they increase the price to match the quality they are offering. ... show more

Delivery drivers showed up with no hand truck and weren't able to lift the chairs so they left them in the middle of my driveway. Be prepared to possi ly moved these 70lb boxes yourself. Chairs are a beautiful design and the color is beautiful. My chair arms did arrive a little smashed like another reviewer and with a few very mi or scratches. That wouldn't bother me as u like the way leather distresses when it wears but I ended up sending one back because it had a weird pucker in the way the leather was sewn. Hoping I don't get a mismatch on colors now as I have ordered a replacement. Will update when it arrives. If you don't mind taking a risk and have the ability to return these are a good deal if you are lucky enough to get undamaged ones. ... show more

Love the tufted sides and modern/traditional wingback style. The leather seems high quality and the color is a dark gray/brown. It's comfortable, but the seat is firm. It should soften up with time. (Everyone still fights to sit in this chair!) The cushion is attached, which I didn't realize when I purchased. It did have a strong smell after we opened the box, but it subsided within a day or two. I searched for a long time for the right chair for our cozy library, and I'm thrilled with our purchase! ... show more

Love these chairs. Very easy to assemble and look great. Found some very similar on West Elm and thought I would give these a whirl since they were half the price. I'm very pleased and glad I did. They are also pretty comfortable for a formal accent chair.
