I wanted a large armchair for the living room and this one came in a handsome elephant grey leather in a modified, less "formal" wing style. I have "contemporary" (neither ultra modern or classical) decor so this fits perfectly. Good points: Sturdy construction, easy to put on the four ebony color legs The legs are curved in back, striaght in front and look perfect. They bolted in easily and well-drilled, no struggle with mis-aligned bolt holes. You can't put them in the wrong way; the legs only go in the correct way. Large: a bigger person can easily fit this. Leather is way thicker than a lot of those "budget" chairs that look really good but after a mere glance of the cat at it, it's split like an over-ripe banana skin. My poodle actually has eaten a few armchairs. I thnk he only hasn't eaten the one left because he likes to sit in it. Contemporary interpretation of a classic wing chair (fewer curves, slimmer arms.) Bad points: It will be team-delivered by two people who will dump, I mean, deliver it somewhere so unless you are around to direct them to the best door for you, a seventy pound (32 KG) package will be dumped on your front step or by your garage door. Then you and someone else will be tasked with getting it inside. I'm a single, older woman and I haven't been able to bench 100lbs for years. So I had to figure out how to get it inside; I ended up unboxing it on my front porch carefully (slashing with a box cutter is unadvised; I had to figure out how the box was surrounding the chair and take it apart piece by piece.) Then I wiggled the chair on the foam sheeting into the house and got it where it needed to be. A single healthy man could do this more easily. A smaller woman than me? No chance. Make sure, unlike me, you have help. So be ready for delivery by watching the tracking. Comfort: Only moderately comfortable. The seat is firm and not squishy. So good for back support kinda ( you won't sink in and hurt your lower back) but it needs a lumbar support pillow and maybe an additional cushion if you intend this to be your reading nook. Size: This is a "major" chair with a tall back. Not "apartment" size so if you live in a 20x20" studio you'll want a much smaller scale chair. It doesn't recline. If you want a recliner, there are versions that will hide the reclining feature and still look formal; I have one of those at work and it looks like a classic wing chair in brocade upholstery but I can close my office door and take a power snooze. This has gotten me through some very long days. I've used that chair for visiting children who squirm, for older people for whom business arm chairs are uncomfortable but I'm the main beneficiary of the power naps--if you are furnishing your own work office, I highly recommend a secret recliner wing chair. Which...this isn't. So thoughthis chair will work beautifully in a law office, outer office-lobby or some high powered C suite corner office, it lacks that secret recliner feature. Absolutely beautiful chairs! The leather is well made. Shipping was fast. Came with some issues but Amazon corrected it quickly! These chairs are very comfortable, stylish and sturdy. Will last a long time and are priced very reasonably.

I would have expected a chair of this quality to cost at least $1200, so the value is pretty unmatched as far as I’m concerned. Every other chair in this price range is cheap plastic “leather,” extremely tiny, or both. The chair is properly-proportioned and commanding, and looks great in my pseudo-traditional living space. Assembly was literally just screwing the legs on. The leather is top-grain, but arrived pretty dry — I’m not knocking any points off for this, because it is something easily fixed. Is it too good to be true? I don’t think so —Amazon is probably selling these early units at a loss, to drive reviews and help their new furniture brands establish themselves in the marketplace. Other Amazon-brand top-grain leather chairs quality seem to have been raised to a more viable price range once they hit several hundred reviews. If you are considering one of these under-priced chairs, I personally recommend getting in early, before they increase the price to match the quality they are offering. ... show more

Heavy, sturdy, handsome chair. Quality leather that is smooth and soft, but thick. I found zero flaws in the leather, it has very nice stitching with an upscale presence. The cushion is firm and supportive but comfy- not squishy and not rock hard. Even though it looks formal, it is large and comfortable enough to sit back and relax or read a book. I can see this lasting quite a long time. It was wrapped a little too well, lots of foam wrap and foam blocks to keep it safe and the legs were the only piece to install and took maybe a minute to put together. I love these chairs as does my husband, who couldn’t even complain that I bought them when he saw them and took a seat. Win! ... show more

Beautiful chair. Purchased the cognac color leather for traditional style small library and office. I did worry when ordering that the color might lean towards orange but it is actually a lovely caramel color and looks good with darker wood furniture. The seat is fairly wide so plenty of room to snuggle in with our small dog for reading and/or enjoying a drink. The chair came early, was well packaged and delivered by two friendly drivers who brought the chair in through the front door. The only assembly necessary was screwing the legs on. ... show more

Delivery drivers showed up with no hand truck and weren't able to lift the chairs so they left them in the middle of my driveway. Be prepared to possi ly moved these 70lb boxes yourself. Chairs are a beautiful design and the color is beautiful. My chair arms did arrive a little smashed like another reviewer and with a few very mi or scratches. That wouldn't bother me as u like the way leather distresses when it wears but I ended up sending one back because it had a weird pucker in the way the leather was sewn. Hoping I don't get a mismatch on colors now as I have ordered a replacement. Will update when it arrives. If you don't mind taking a risk and have the ability to return these are a good deal if you are lucky enough to get undamaged ones. ... show more
