I like the style, price, and free delivery! Very deep which is what I wanted. First impression sitting on it is that the cushions compress quite a bit. They wrinkle when you get up but I like the lived in look. Fabric is a canvas that I hope will prove sturdy. I don't mind the texture. The only thing that peeves me is that the arms are angled. The couch is wider toward the front. Did not expect this but in re-reviewing other reviews, you can see that. Not a deal breaker I suppose but sidetables don't align flush. I was going to purchase a couch from a more expensive retailer but found this dup and given a price that is $1800 less, am satisfied.

This oversized chair is everything I wanted - and I’m very picky!!! I wanted a huge chair that looked modern, had clean lines, was comfortable for curling up in, could comfortably fit my 6’5” boyfriend, had a thick/solid fabric that can withstand my two small dogs and climber kitten, and that was within my public defender budget. I looked for several weeks and found nada. Then amazon made my day. I ordered the light grey chair and want to buy a second one already. This chair is sooo comfortable - the down cushions are fully filled so they are supportive, but soft enough to sink into. I’m 5’4” and I can sit in the back corner and stretch my legs out diagonally across the seat cushion, and my feet sit just inside the opposite arm - it’s THAT big!!! The frame feels solid and well-made, yet isn’t too heavy to move. It feels like it’s very good quality. The fabric is the perfect cool/neutral soft gray that goes perfectly with my blue/grey/ beige home tones. It’s like a soft canvas or new denim feel. If you want a super soft microfiber, you might not like this. For me, it’s perfect. I wanted a stronger, thicker, tight weave so the kitten claws can’t destroy it while I try to teach her not to claw it. It has a slight new/chemical smell but nothing overpowering. I could sit in it right away with only a faint irritation from the smell. I think it will air out well within a few hours. I’m in heaven. This is the perfect cozy chair that looks beautiful and modern. My only complaint was the difficulty to work with delivery company - NSD. Night before delivery, they changed my delivery time from afternoon to morning. I had already arranged my schedule to be home in the afternoon, not the morning. I called NSD, who assured me they would deliver it later in the day as originally scheduled. They didn’t. When I called back, they were rude and he no interest in helping me. They canceled the order and said since the item was “undeliverable,” they were already returning it to Amazon. Thankfully, Tim from Amazon provided the excellent customer service that makes me a very loyal Amazon customer. He was sooo kind, he listened, and he graciously fixed the problem while being a delight to talk to (a real human, not a robotic scripted agent). He put in a replacement order and I got it two days earlier than expected. It was a welcome surprise. I will be ordering a second one when my budget allows. This is the perfect chair!

It doesn't feel like cotton, more like linen, very rough on the skin. Good value for the money overall, you can't find a cotton/down couch for this kind of money.

Just received my Stone and Beam sofa this morning and already set it up by myself! I am a 64 year old woman so that tells you how easy it is. I have been looking for a sofa at Crate and Barrel and West Elm and Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware. You name it, I have been there looking. I have a really old dog and a puppy and wanted modern looking slipcovered sofa that could withstand two dogs. The lead times are crazy at just about every furniture store when I happened across the Stone and Beam line on Amazon.com. HOORAY! For MUCH less and MUCH faster, I now have a sofa in my living room. I ordered this sofa on Friday and it arrived today. Doesn't get much faster than that. Thanks Stone and Beam!

I have been looking at Stone and Beam couches for months. Finally, I was ready to buy and many of them are sold out - so I ended up deciding on this one because it is still a deep-seated couch and the fabric is 100% cotton. I also loved that I received this couch 3 days after I ordered it. Delivery was perfect - they arrived in the middle of the 3-hour window given. It came in a big box which my toddlers are still enjoying. Took about 5 minutes to completely unbox and set up - simple. It did have a 'new' smell that some said was like gasoline. I never felt it was that strong and after a few hours it didn't smell at all. This cotton isn't as soft as microfiber but it's actually a natural fiber that will wear very well. I think it feels nice and sturdy. Someone in a review compared it to a pair of jeans and I think that is a good comparison but slightly softer. We all love the feel of the couch. I have a big white dog and two toddler boys so something like cotton is better for us. Dog hair doesn't stick and neither do crums from my boys. Within two days everyone in our family had fallen asleep on this couch. It is incredibly comfortable. The seat is firm and the back cushions are pillowy. Easy to get in and out of. The deep seat is a game-changer for us - we love it. My husband is 6ft 4 and finally enjoys sitting on the couch with us. We want to get the ottoman next to create a chaise to the couch when wanted. I love that I can take everything off this couch and throw it in the wash when needed. But so far, just wiping things clean has worked well. I wanted a couch that would last for 10-15 years and I think this couch will do just that. It is sturdy, comfy, well made, and looks so good in our living room!

Beware when washing covers they will shrink, use no heat! I now have a 1-2 inch space between cushions on my one couch. This couch is great four laying lounging and napping. A sitting conversation couch it is not great as the backs are so low. The pillows are comfy and when lose shape are easily reshaped. The feel is a bit rough but we don’t mind. It does have a large footprint and I wish I would of purchased one loveseat instead of two sofas. Still like the look and ease of delivery with Amazon!
