I bought this lamp for my dining nook---I cannot climb ladders anymore to change ceiling lights. I wanted a lamp that was bright. Contrary to another review, the bulbs that came with the lamp are bright but do not get hot. They are like cool-bright Christmas tree lightbulbs of old. After being on for hours, I could still wrap my hand around the bulb an keep it there, only slightly warm to the touch. If the bulbs that came with the lamp are too bright for you--buy lower wattage replacements. The only negative but not a show stopper--is it could be a bit taller. I knew the 5 foot height going in--and can live with it. The lamp is sturdy with a black marble base, and easy to put together. I put it in the corner behind dining table--shaped the light bars into a halfmoon, looks great. I could not be happier with the purchase and would definitely recommend to a friend. Overall, I like the look. I like that the cord is flexible so we could hang it over the center of our table. I like that it comes with amber tinted LED bulbs. Some of the arms and sockets for the bulbs are crooked so I’ve had to try and straighten them the best I could with mixed results. Also, the bulbs are very bright so I installed a dimmer switch to allow the bulbs to be dimmed if so desired. ... show more

A little wobbly even after tightening the base but still stable enough to use. I like that the lightbulb arm positions are adjustable and you can switch between 2, 3 and all 5 bulbs on at once.

Loved the design of the lamp. However, a desk lamp that you can't glance at without momentary blindness is a big miss. This is a solvable problem- offer a lower wattage bulb or adjustable brightness setting.
