The lamp arrived well packaged and was in perfect shape upon opening. The lamp operates on 3 batteries or can be plugged into your USB power source. The included wire to plug the palm tree in has a proprietary plug on the lamp side, but a regular USB male plug on the other end. For our use, I'm going to have to order a USB extension cable to reach our USB equipped electrical outlet, but that's no big deal. The lamp can be set on a flat surface and is quite stable, especially with the batteries inserted. Or, if you'd like, you can hang the neon lamp on the wall, which looks quite cool. The neon light is bright and it makes a great accent lamp. I bought the lamp as a gift for my bride to help remind us both of the beautiful sunshine we experienced on our recent trip to AZ, reminders we'll especially need during our dark Midwestern Winter ahead ... show more

Great Light. Kids loveD it. However- it totally stopped working 2 days after the return window closed - which is frustrating. I troubleshooted it and nothing - dead. We only had it a month. We went thru 3 sets of batteries (so 9 batteries) in 30 days - which was only using it at night. You can plug it in - but I find that more difficult to do with kids and the cord isnt very long. ... show more

Bought for my son's bedroom. Cute, Bottom half of tree no longer lights up though. It only took a week for it to go out. Battery operated. Comes with a short USB plug so it would work to plug to something like a laptop, but not feasible to plug to wall.

Came not working on 1/2 of the light. Asked for return authorization and I got it but was delayed in getting it back so they charged me again. I asked for another RA and asked if they really wanted a broken 20 lamp back. No answer so am stuck with lamp that won’t work and out 20

Light weight (more stable once you add batteries) and produced a good amount of light. It creates a clean moon-shaped outline, which is a bit surprising. I thought it might be a bit more blurry, but it’s quite crisp, which is nice. It’s also quite bright.
