Shoddy construction. I bought 28 chairs for classroom use and out of the box about 1 in every 4 had parts poorly attached. Padded backs were barely hanging onto the frame. The replacements I was sent were the same and had to be returned as well I'd never buy these chairs or recommend them to anyone.

We got these chairs to add to our other 4 foldable metal chairs which are not padded. My wife and I with our 6 children host lots of family events, birthdays, holidays, etc. and we were in need of some additional chairs. These made the perfect addition! The padding is firm which provides excellent support unlike some other cushioned chairs where you can still feel the metal below the padding. After several birthday parties and events I. Just a few short months these chairs have been through it! Lots of scooting, folding, rocking, and general wear and they have stood up amazingly! The padding is still just as firm. The chairs aren’t loose or wobbly. I couldn’t ask for better from folding chairs. I would 100% recommend these chairs to anyone! Comfort: 5/5 Sturdiness: 5/5 Easy to fold: 5/5 Overall: 5/5

These folding chairs are just like a million other folding chairs I've used or sat on through the years.... which I say is a good thing. They're of comparable quality to what I'm used to, so there's no sad surprise when you pull them out of the box. They're all black, with a black padded seat cushion and black padded back rest. So, yes, they are the better of the two varieties of folding chairs we're all used to... there's the all-metal kind and there's the kind with padding. Folding chairs are meant to kind of take a beating, so I'm hoping the nice padding can withstand frequent use, folding/unfolding, storing away and taking out, packing into a van with other things, and so on. They seem like they're up to the task. They'll be replacing the leftovers from previous padded sets, a couple with now-no-longer-pliant brown vinyl cushions that had ripped several times, and a couple with these striped fabric seats and backs where the backs have been coming detached from the metal of the chair. The one benefit of the all-metal chairs is your padding can never fall off or get thrashed! :) Would certainly recommend this set for those looking to beef up their extra chair collection.... just in time for the holidays!

I did not have any grand expectations for these, but I have been very pleasantly surprised at the comfort and sturdiness of these chairs! We use them at our spare table that the kids use for mess crafts and activities and I have even found them standing on the chairs and was concerned they might fold up on them but they held their shape and did great under the circumstances. I do still make the kids sit down, but it's nice to know that they aren't so feeble and will fold up on the kids if they stand on them while my back is turned for a second. and as an added bonus, they are super easy to wipe clean.

Comfortable fold up chairs! I love these chairs. I bike them out at the last gathering I had at my house. The are easy to fold up and store and most importantly they are comfortable!

I am so happy have found these black folding chairs. They match the other black chairs I already have and will be so useful for when having guests over. They fold easily and so don't take up much room to store them. These chairs have padding on the seat and backrest and are as comfortable as a folding chair can be.
