I like Amazon Basics and their garbage bags are no exception. I typically do not go for bags with drawstrings because it's just more plastic, but these bags were something I needed for a trash can with a special purpose. We have a kitchen trash that use for our dryer lint and basement garbage - plastic wrappers, miscellaneous trash, etc - and I needed bags that are easy to tie closed because I have arthritis in my hands. There really aren't any compostable bags that come with ties. These Amazon Basic bags try. They are made from 10% post consumer recycled material, which I don't think really means anything, but it sounds good. The bags themselves are on a large roll and I LOVE that they are not perforated, but they just roll off one bag after another. For someone with arthritis, this is a huge win. The bags open easily and they fit in our 10 gallon plastic trash bin no problem. When I went to tie the bag closed to toss out the trash I did notice the top did not close completely. This may be my user error, or it may be a bag issue, but it did not have any impact on me either way. Just be aware. These bags are 14 cents each, which surprisingly is more expensive than my usual compostable bags that cost 11 cents each. Again, these bags have ties, my normal bags do not.

These trash bags are as good as any others that I've used. They don't have any real stand out qualities that set them apart from other brands, but there's nothing negative about them either. The handles are strong and pull easily when the bag is full to tie it off. They come in a neat, tight roll that is easy to pull off a new bag. They are not connected together, so each bag comes off easily without the risk of ripping them while trying to separate them. The bag unfolds easily to full size and fit well in our tall kitchen trash can. The top needs to be stretched a little bit to fit, which is the same as all the other trash bags we've been using, but it does not rip when stretched and fitted over the trash can top. They are basic, but they are great quality and just as good as the rest.

I've been using these for a while now. They're trash bags so it's not like there's any particular special features, but they fit my cans well and neither the drawstring nor the bag is as flimsy as the storebought generics I used to get. You can certainly get even more durable bags but you'll have to spend more money on them and these are comfortably within the acceptable range for normal home use.

These are virtually indistinguishable from the generic, store-brand drawstring garbage bags I used to buy. That might not sound like a ringing endorsement, I know, but for a standard, basic trash bag they're perfectly good. They are the standard size for kitchen bags, and I've had no issues using them. No fancy features, but I don't need scented trash bags. These meet all my needs, and the big box will last me awhile. Trash bags are something I think it's perfectly good to buy a 'basic' version in bulk, and I would recommend these to anyone for that reason.

This was my first Amazon Basics product but I've heard they are generally decent quality. Honestly, these are trash bags and exactly what I expected. There's nothing really fantastic or better about them over other trash bags with a drawstring. They work and I didn't have any issues with leaking after using a couple of bags.

These are the tall white trash bags that you are familiar with. Tie tops, come in a roll. Fits common tall cans. The bags are made with a similar quality to other brands sold at big box stores. Nothing bad to say about them, they work as expected and hold the standard amount of rubbish. Have not had an issue with them splitting or tearing, but I also don’t over pack them to avoid issues. Overall good functional bags from Amazon Basics.
