For something in the category of "Basics," this power strip is pretty awesome. I just wish they offered this power strip in different lengths. The AC outlets have little slidey things to cover the contacts (I believe the technical term is "covers." This will keep little fingers from sticking paper clips in there, and it also keeps "gunk" out, which will keep the contacts clean and fresh. And when it comes to electricity, a clean contact is a happy contact. Perhaps most surprising was this power strip comes with two USB-A charging ports rated at 2.4 Amps. What I don't know is is that 2.4 Amps divided between both ports, or is that 2.4 Amps per port? But what I do know is that charging my phone on this power strip's charger gives me "Fast Charge" status every time. And it's a pretty high quality assembly. 5-stars for a power strip? I usually only give 5-start for things that impress, and power strips usually fall into the "it works well" or "it feels like it's going to fall apart if I plug anything into it" categories. This Amazon Basics surge protector power strip is exactly what I was looking for! First off, the price is incredibly affordable. It offers all the features I need without breaking the bank. Mounting it was a breeze, thanks to the keyhole slots on the back. I was able to easily secure it to my wall, keeping my desk area neat and organized. The 6-foot cord is the perfect length, giving me plenty of flexibility in where I place it. But the real stars of the show are the two built-in USB ports. They're incredibly convenient for charging my phone and tablet without needing separate power bricks, freeing up the outlets for other devices. This strip is basically the Swiss Army knife of electricity—six outlets plus two USB ports, all lined up like a charging buffet. The 1000 joules of surge protection make me feel like my gadgets are living in a fortress. I plugged in everything from a toaster to a tablet and still had room left over, which made me feel oddly powerful. Perfectly fine at what it does. USB charging is fairly weak though, it could charge my phone overnight but anything else I'd want a dedicated AC adapter. Using it with 3-pronged devices was always a very good connection, and I like the ability to cover up slits.

It is properly spaced and i can plug in everything. I use it for devices and it pulls a good amout of electricity. The surge protector works great and the output is awesome. I can plug all the usb devices directly in to the power strip.

I have a couple of these power strips in my living space. They have been very reliable even with several outlets being used. No funny business. They simply just work. It’s nice that they have a halfway decent Joule rating for surge protection too. Makes you feel a bit better when plugging electronics in. I do wish they would ditch the USB A ports for an extra AC outlet or USB C outlets. But overall, they are a wonderful value. ... show more
