For something in the category of "Basics," this power strip is pretty awesome. I just wish they offered this power strip in different lengths. The AC outlets have little slidey things to cover the contacts (I believe the technical term is "covers." This will keep little fingers from sticking paper clips in there, and it also keeps "gunk" out, which will keep the contacts clean and fresh. And when it comes to electricity, a clean contact is a happy contact. Perhaps most surprising was this power strip comes with two USB-A charging ports rated at 2.4 Amps. What I don't know is is that 2.4 Amps divided between both ports, or is that 2.4 Amps per port? But what I do know is that charging my phone on this power strip's charger gives me "Fast Charge" status every time. And it's a pretty high quality assembly. 5-stars for a power strip? I usually only give 5-start for things that impress, and power strips usually fall into the "it works well" or "it feels like it's going to fall apart if I plug anything into it" categories. But this power strip has indeed impressed me.

This Amazon Basics surge protector power strip is exactly what I was looking for! First off, the price is incredibly affordable. It offers all the features I need without breaking the bank. Mounting it was a breeze, thanks to the keyhole slots on the back. I was able to easily secure it to my wall, keeping my desk area neat and organized. The 6-foot cord is the perfect length, giving me plenty of flexibility in where I place it. But the real stars of the show are the two built-in USB ports. They're incredibly convenient for charging my phone and tablet without needing separate power bricks, freeing up the outlets for other devices. It has six outlets to connect and charge different devices. If you need a reliable, affordable, and well-designed power strip with the added bonus of USB charging, I highly recommend this one from Amazon Basics. It does the job perfectly.

Like just about everyone else, I converted unexpectedly to a home office five days a week from a formerly partial work from home situation. Now juggling two monitors, a docking station, a Blue Yeti microphone, and other peripherals for my workstation, I needed a more robust surge protector than the tired old one I'd been using up to that point. More importantly, technology evolved and USB ports can be in short supply for chargers. Especially with clunky cellphone and device chargers (looking at you, Samsung chunky charger), just having something I could plug an extra-long USB cord into would make all the difference. I didn't want an additional hub on a desk where space already was at a premium. What to do? I splurged (heh) on this Amazon Basics surge protector on the basis of adequate 3 prong size (fully adjustable for 2), USB ports, and surge protection in the event of power outages. My area experiences high winds in two seasons, so it's a sound decision. I've had zero problems in the nine months of owning my first protector and I bought a second for the office to migrate my home gaming rig onto. It feels solid and sturdy, rather than flimsy like other surge protectors/power bars I've own. You have to use a little heft to pull out the plugs, which is a far cry from the loose connections that come over time. It sits nicely behind my desk, lying flat and barely moving, and there's no accidental turning it on/off with a toe on a switch. These little features come as a premium while the basic functionality here has been solid and stable through wailing storms, high winds, and heavy electrical loads. Definitely a worthy addition to the household.

Perfectly fine at what it does. USB charging is fairly weak though, it could charge my phone overnight but anything else I'd want a dedicated AC adapter. Using it with 3-pronged devices was always a very good connection, and I like the ability to cover up slits.

Cord quality, design good, fits good, not sure Noise or speed yet. This is for my daughter to take by to college. I will let you know thinking of ordering one for me at home. Looks nice, thick and put together. Not cheap brand at all. Will let you know when my daughter tells how it works

So very pleased with this purchase! - Handy 6 foot length cord. - The 6 electrical outlets are easy to plug items into and out of. Then not in use, the sliding door-like covers over the outlets help keep out dust. I really like that feature! - Has 2 Type A USB ports for charging electronic devices. - Joule Rating: The joule rating on surge protectors is extremely important for proper surge protection. This unit has a 1000 joule rating which provides adequate surge protection of electronic devices. - A terrific value. I highly recommend this product.
