Easy to assemble. Except for the cover. It is very snuggly fit which is great but a challenge to put on by myself in a small room. The metal seems very sturdy. Got this to add a bit of extra support and comfort to a twin size platform bed located in an attic room, while maintaining a low profile. This basic box spring was perfect for the task! Assembly was not bad. The most difficult part was - as other reviewers noted - getting the cover on. It needs to be snug though, so definitely not a deal breaker! It's held up well and continued to maintain comfort for over a year now. The bed is used when Grandkids visit, so it isn't used al the time. Not sure how it would hold up on a bed used regularly but it's proven absolutely ideal for what I needed! This box spring is great, super easy to assemble had it ready to go into my daughters room in less that 10 minutes. There are lots of reviews stating the crossbars don’t fit, this isn’t true you just need to push them in place, they are a tight fit which is exactly what you should want. I found standing the assembly up was the easiest way to put the cover on. Will be buying this item again and again if needed for beds! ... show more

Very sturdy when assembled, assembly easy and a good product. Issue I has was box was beat up with holes in it and the hardware to install was scattered in the box with two nuts missing. To complete assemble I had to go to a local hardware store to purchase the missing nuts. Seems like I received a previously sold unit. ... show more

I ordered this boxspring because I am currently staying at a friends house. She has a mattress on a platform, but no boxspring and I needed more support for my back. The box arrived on time and is about 5 feet high, but only about a foot wide. It is heavy, but I managed to carry it up 20 steps alone without difficulty. I do not lift weights, and it is equivalent to the weight of my suitcase when I travel. The instruction book is in many languages, but is only pictures which I find much harder to use then having words. However, that said, I was able to assemble this in about 20 minutes by myself. No tools are required, and it is very sturdy. The hardest part was placing the included cover over the frame. You have to stretch the cover very tight in order to have it fit the corners but it did not rip and is a perfect fit once you get it on. I could not understand the picture direction and ended up putting the boxspring on its side and then putting the cover over it. It was easy to maneuver into the bedroom and onto the bed by myself. And it definitely makes my sleep better. ... show more

It’s only been in place for a few days, but it’s noticeably more supportive than the low-profile IKEA wooden base it replaced on my son’s bed. He has a kid-specific memory foam mattress, and I thought it was just not very firm because it’s geared towards lighter people. Nope, it was the base. With this box spring, the mattress is so much more comfortable for my son (and me when I tried it out). Setup was easy and manufacturing tolerances were actually quite good. The cover is easy enough to get on if you just stand the frame up and adjust after fitting three of the corners. Only time will tell on durability, but so far it has been great. ... show more

So easy to assemble like seriously it took me 30 minutes. The only thing is the thickness is not the same as a typical box spring. Kind of thinner, but the quality is good and like I said super easy to assemble.
