Purchased the unit to take the garage down 20-25 degrees. We have a commercial refrigerator and freezer. Running this A/C to keep temperatures down in the garage uses less electricity than the two coolers trying to maintain when it is 100 degrees in there. Couple things: 1. First, you must let it sit upright for 24 hours before you use it. There is a warning on the box and in the manual. 2. It is assumed that you have a 120v outlet near a window. The power cord and exhaust duct are both about 6 feet only. It must have 20" clearance behind it so it pretty much needs to live in one spot versus being able to move it around a little. The manual says not to use an extension cord with this. That's OK just be mindful. 2. There is no removable drain bucket. It has a drain plug at the bottom to drain the internal tank out. OR it has a drain pump to pump the water up to 70" higher than the base of the unit. Be mindful of this. It comes with about 2 feet of drain hose so I have it pumping water into a Lowe's bucket for periodic dumping. I need to get a longer drain hose to run it somewhere else. Overall so far so good. It is quiet, the thermostat is accurate and it can move a lot of air in a little amount of time. A great value over a full mini split costing thousands. Quick and easy to get setup.

I am seriously not happy with this thing at all. It Was so expensive. I have to babysit it or else it will get water everywhere. The hose for the water to go out of it is too short and there's only one , but there are three separate places for the water to come out. If you don't catch the water soon enough , it will fill it up and turn off the air conditioning unit and just blow out warm air. This was a waste of money, and I no longer have the box, so I can't return it.And I'm pretty sure the return is well past its date anyways. It also makes your electric bill go through the roof. You're better off getting a window unit. I honestly hate this thing. It's such a nuisance. It does cool off the air , but only in one tiny room And only if the water isn't filling up the inside. Again, if you don't catch it in time, it will kick off the air conditioning unit and you will just have warm air blowing out. It is huge bulky and That awful stuff that sticks to the window when you try to take it off, it's just so bad.It makes a mess.Everything about it is awful. I highly recommend finding some other product and do not buy this one. Save yourself the headache. I wish someone would have told me. Sure wish I could send this awful thing back and get a refund.

My old (7 years) portable ac stopped working. I decided to get this unit and its great. It was well packaged with no damage. However, the window kit was too small for my oversized sliding window - I had to buy a separate longer kit to fit the opening. This AC unit blast some serious air when set on high speed which results in it being a bit loud but is relatively quiet on medium and low. It has some great features .... osculating vent for better air circulation and a water pump for extracting the evaporation water. I ran the hose through the window kit for sending it outside. It also allows the remote to be the temperature sensor so it is more effective at controlling the temperature. You get a really nice unit for a price that is significantly lower then comparable models. I just hope it last for several years to make it an outstanding purchase.

Ive had this since Feb. It runs none stop as a secondary ac. The plugs are just little rubbers insterted into the back in the drains. With no screw top to help secure them. Woke up this morning to it leaking, and even though its six months old, it had its filters changed every two weeks, wiped down, and drained when needed (because florida) and yet I now have serious floor damage because it was leaking and I have zero idea why. I do not recommend for a long term investment. ~*Updated 12/2025*~ The middle plug that leaked i sealed shut, since there are two other seals that can be used for draining purposes. What I noticed is that the ac I purchased (with heat pump) doesnt have a heater selection on the main frame. As its winter now in florida, I wanted to test it out but when I did, I realized I only had ac, auto, fan, humidity. I put the ac on fan, since I figured blowing room temp air is just as good and the unit made a horrible noise and was blowing out heat - which confused me, because its not that cold to have the heat auto kick on. Switched back to ac and it kicked on (when it gets too cold, the ac will kick off itself) so I know its not that cold.

Worked great to cool our garage workspace, making it much more comfortable. I am sure it will heat just as well when the need arises. Noise level was lower than expected. The size is about the same width as a standard window, so that made it easy to fit into our space. This AC unit was fairly easy to install and has the power expected and advertised. I think my husband said one piece was missing, but he was able to adapt and modify whatever it was. The sleep timer is very helpful for programming it so it doesn't run all night. The remote control is a nice feature to have if desired.
