Noise isn’t bad either, it sounds like any normal ac running when it’s first trying to battle all the heat and cool the house down, but it got really quiet when it didn’t have to do as much. And for an idea of what I’m talking about, it “feels like 109” for the past like two months here in Florida.. so for the first 5 minutes it sounded like a normal ac. Not loud or a noxious at all. But then got dramatically more quiet once it was cooler in the house. By the way, this is cooling down my mobile home living room and kitchen together with no issue even while cooking. I love the first one so much. I bought another one. It cools down the house super fast. The heat option works just as well as the cooling. I have no central heat so this is all I use last winter. I’m in Washington state it’s not super cold, but it’s not warm here.

This unit has been very sporadic in working well. It only gets use less than once a month for a couple days in our guest cabin, which is under 500sq ft, and is used for a heat source. It works well at times, but at other times the heat it puts out is minimal, and insufficient t get the cabin above 55 degrees when its 42 degrees outside. I have been through the manual, and settings, etc. without succeeding in getting it to operate consistently. Very dissatisfied.

My old (7 years) portable ac stopped working. I decided to get this unit and its great. It was well packaged with no damage. However, the window kit was too small for my oversized sliding window - I had to buy a separate longer kit to fit the opening. This AC unit blast some serious air when set on high speed which results in it being a bit loud but is relatively quiet on medium and low. It has some great features .... osculating vent for better air circulation and a water pump for extracting the evaporation water. I ran the hose through the window kit for sending it outside. It also allows the remote to be the temperature sensor so it is more effective at controlling the temperature. You get a really nice unit for a price that is significantly lower then comparable models. I just hope it last for several years to make it an outstanding purchase.

6 MONTH FOLLOW UP: I've now had the unit just about six months and through a full summer 1. Do not add a duct extension on it to give yourself the ability to move it around a bit more further from the window. In my own experience it decreased the efficiency of the unit significantly. 2. It can keep a room about 10-20 degrees below ambient outside. I have a garage with insulation above, and insulation in the solid walls. If it's 100F outside, it will hold the room at somewhere between 80 and 85 degrees. And it will run all day trying to do so. 3. If it was hot today and now it is cool outside, you are better served getting a fan to bring in that cool air versus letting the unit slowly bring down the temperature in the room. 4. It only produces water run off for me if I open that middle drain plug. Having a hose connected to the drain pump fitting for months produced no run off. I later learned that it is evaporating the run-off before it gets down to the lower fitting. I've not had a drop since I've kept the middle plug sealed. 5. The heat from the exhaust duct melts and warps the foam insulation they provide you to insulate around the window opening where you put the exhaust plate. -- Previous review: Purchased the unit to take the garage down 20-25 degrees. We have a commercial refrigerator and freezer. Running this A/C to keep temperatures down in the garage uses less electricity than the two coolers trying to maintain when it is 100 degrees in there. Couple things: 1. First, you must let it sit upright for 24 hours before you use it. There is a warning on the box and in the manual. 2. It is assumed that you have a 120v outlet near a window. The power cord and exhaust duct are both about 6 feet only. It must have 20" clearance behind it so it pretty much needs to live in one spot versus being able to move it around a little. The manual says not to use an extension cord with this. That's OK just be mindful. 2. There is no removable drain bucket. It has a drain plug at the bottom to drain the internal tank out. OR it has a drain pump to pump the water up to 70" higher than the base of the unit. Be mindful of this. It comes with about 2 feet of drain hose so I have it pumping water into a Lowe's bucket for periodic dumping. I need to get a longer drain hose to run it somewhere else. Overall so far so good. It is quiet, the thermostat is accurate and it can move a lot of air in a little amount of time. A great value over a full mini split costing thousands. Quick and easy to get setup.

I looked at a bunch of these. I have a 9x27' shop area. I decided on this unit because of the BTU's I needed to remove a lot of the humidity, heat and warm in winter. I just purchased as of this writing. You can tell it gets the heat out of the room but it's exchanging air from inside the room; it runs over the condenser and blows that outside. It does cool id down and we are experiencing high heat right now. So I am not really complaining, but I figured this unit should cool much better than it seems to. Near the unit it seems cold as you are away from it - much warmer. For the Money I think it's ok. But not really a power house. I could have purchased a mini-split; but because of other circumstances I didn't want to put a hole in the brick on my house. So I went with this. The seal material, sucks. It literally disintegrated on my hands. Cheap garbage. I think the price is good but I think these are all cost more than they should. I have yet to have portable unit really kill when it comes to cooling. Design changes. - 1 have a punch out in the window for a drain hose - I can put my condensate outside.... like a window air would do anyway. Why it doesn't have this. I drilled a hole, not hard to do, but if someone doesn't have the tools the only option is a bucket? If you open the port it starts 'peeing' if you've been running the unit. It does come with a pump port too.... Oh and one more thing why not give us say 6-8' of drain hose?

I've used it over the summer (2025) so I have a good gauge on what kind of product this is. The make quality is poor. The button display is a big sticker and whoever stuck it on didn't put it in the right place and didn't bother to redo it. Parts don't exactly fit together in a neat way (it reminds me of the interior of a Ford car as compared to something like a Toyota). The plastic tubing for draining condensation was bent during shipping, which caused a permanent kink to form which affects flow. The unit got moldy within two weeks which is unbelievable. I got rid of my last unit because it finally had an unkickable mold problem and bought new specifically to avoid mold. So that is a serious negative. Oh, and the hose that pumps the heat outside doesn't connect perfectly to the unit, so a decent amount of hot air just escapes right back into the room. The unit isn't all bad, though, and some of these downsides can be managed. The unit always blows ice cold air when you need it to, and the fan sound is fairly pleasant. The heat option also works great so you can keep it in your room year round should you choose to do so. The remote works fine (although I doubt how well it's temparature-telling feature actually works). Overall, for the price, it's not a terribly offensive product as of yet. I do wish I went with another one but I wasn't motivated enough to return it, especially considering how heavy and cumbersome that endeavor would be. I guess that's exactly what Amazon hopes to achieve with any of its products, really: they sell it to you directly, they make it as cheaply and as lazily as possible to save money on production, but they make it just barely good enough for you to not want to go through the effort of returning it, which leads to them turning a massive profit at your expense and using said profit to blast white women into space. To each his own, I guess.
