This bed frame is exactly as pictured. The only thing I'm not sure about is the rounded corners of my mattress don't align with the frame so there is a small, but obvious, gap at each corner between bed and frame. In hindsight, I should have expected that considering that is how my mattress fits any base, but it never occurred to me. Since it's a platform style frame, the gap is very noticeable. I will get used to it, but if you're less flexible, here's your chance to think that over. Now let's talk assembly. This thing was a DREAM to put together. There are notches at all major joints so the pieces interlock and go together well. My main concern with buying a metal frame was the fact that the pieces always seem to wiggle loose over time due to the awkward design at the joints. These notches eliminate this concern. This frame may very well last for years, which wasn't exactly what I expected. All pieces are clearly marked. There's no guesswork involved. Don't undervalue this statement people. It took me less than 30 minutes to sort pieces and put it together. Amazon DID ship this via USPS and that is annoying. I admittedly did not read the shipping details, if there were any, when I ordered. USPS will not bring something this size to your door. The box is long , and a little heavy. It fit in my full size car with no additional passengers (through the trunk with seats down). Some people will not be able to load this alone. If transport is a concern, it's worth looking into before you buy. It was a nice day and the stars aligned so I was able to go grab mine with little inconvenience. No harm done here, but I did honestly purchase this from Amazon because I assumed it would be delivered to my door. Don't assume :D

This frame is perfect for my 6 year old. It was super easy and fast to put together and I don't need a box spring. The only slight concern I have is that the wood slats seems flimsy. It does state there is a weight limit, I worry that her doing the little girl thing and jumping on it when I'm not looking might break them.

Great bed for kids transitioning from crib or toddler beds into normal bed frames. Definitely best for toddlers still potty training. Easy to assemble both beds were assembled with in 30 mins :). Only reason it didn’t get full 5 stars is because when moving across the floor it ripped my toenail off my big toe so when moving watch your feet and or ware shoes when moving the frames :). Another problem I have is the slats are extremely bendy and not very much weight can be put on the bed less then 100# I’d say is safe. I have an autistic 3 yr old who loves jumping on everything and is not potty trained he jumps on the bed with no issues the slats are bendy and flexible but not sturdy for hold my weight (190#) or my sisters weight (120#) so we can’t lay on the beds with the kids. But good for kids starting out :)

Quick assembly, just a few bolts with the included hex key. I was surprised that the wooden slats were all connected with velcro strap and just dropped in place, also held with velcro. On similar products, I have had to snap the slats in one at a time. Looks good and sturdy. My mattress is a full. I would not jump up and down on the bed with this frame, but my days of doing that are long past!

I bought this product because it had Amazon-ensured quality and was affordable. Besides that, the design seemed nice. Here are the 3 reasons I would not buy this bed frame again: 1. It shakes a lot: the metal is thin and poorly connected, resulting in a unstable bed frame (sustainment improvement required on the center of the bed -e.g., adding 2-4 more pillars). I made sure to fasten all the screws, but the shaking did not go away as it was more related to poor design. [There are several similar complaints from other customers] 2. It can break easily: the screw connections of the 2 center pillars are very sensitive to the shaking. Both of mine broke in 3 months making the bed frame useless. I tried to repair it, but the connections are too damaged. 3. It can damage the floor (especially if wood): see picture attached to estimate how much it will cost me to repair this floor Therefore, the poor design generates shaking, which broke metal connections and ended up scratching and piercing my floor. Now that I learned, I will seek out other models.

We purchased this bed for our 1.5 year old as he was ready to transition from his crib to a big bed. This is just high enough off the floor that I can easily lay down to read him stories, but isn't so tall he can't get up himself. We chose this bed frame specifically so he wouldn't get hurt if he fell off the bed. I am happy to report he has not fallen off of the bed even once, but if he did he would not get hurt. Adults should be mindful when sitting on the edge of the bed, as the wooden slats will at times shift and pop out of place. I am now more mindful when I go to sit on the bed to not place all of my weight on one end or side. This bed is extremely easy to assemble and works great with the Zinus 5-inch mattress we purchased for it.

This bed frame was easy to assemble and looked just like the photo. However after 10 months of use, I will be trashing it for two reasons, 1) it squeaks whenever I move while sleeping, and squeaks even louder when I am using the bed for not sleep purposes. Like, if you are filming a romantic scene and need an overly squeaky bed for comedic purposes, this is frame is perfect. 2) the middle two legs of the bed broke off, and every night I wonder if the bed will collapse (at least it's only 10 inches off the ground). ***I needed a temporary bed solution for a new apartment and this did the job well, I would not recommend for long term use it for horny bears.
