This is in fact an air mattress with a built-in pump. The pump isn't quiet, but it's not ear-piercingly loud either. The bed inflates at a reasonable speed, and doesn't lose much (if any) air overnight. In terms of size, we bought the twin, and it was able to fit a 6'1" man and our 12lb cat with some room to spare. Overall, good quality for the price. Note: cat claws were trimmed, and we covered the mattress with a comforter to further protect it from claw induced holes. These protective measures were successful, and I recommend them to anyone who wants to own an air mattress while living with one or more cat(s). ... show more

This holds air for a long time. Good enough support mixed with comfort for an air mattress. I like how tall it is. Makes me feel less like an air mattress that way. Inflates and deflates super fast. Was quite comfortable, but only lasted 2 weeks before a large tear appeared in the center of the mattress, too severe to be patched. Don't waste your money.
