  • Perfect for my rower
I moved and now have my rowing machine on a wood floor instead of carpet. I needed a mat to keep it from scooching across the floor during use, and this mat is perfect. It's a nice thickness (not flimsy), fits my Concept II rower with a little room to spare on both ends, and keeps it firmly in place. I highly recommend this mat! ... show more

  • Good Mat? Time will tell.
Bought this machine to work out with. Things for you to know. This machine is a sturdy, first class piece of equipment. Too heavy to try to move around. Buy it if you have the space for it!! Go to a gym and try one out! I have yet to spend more than 5 minutes on it at one time. I am 82, out of shape and am planning to use this machine to change that. Did not realize how our of shape my legs were. Going to take time to master this machine, but, she's a beauty and in time, I will! ... show more

  • No more shin splints while jumping rope!
Style: 2.5' x 6' Pattern Name: Mat
I’ve been jumping rope on concrete and noticed that I’m getting shin splints. I couldn’t figure out if my shoes or the concrete were the problem. I wanted an affordable mat that was at least 1/4” thick and wasn’t too small (yoga mat) nor too big (gym mat). This mat checked all the boxes and while I don’t typically write reviews I felt compelled to write one as I’ve been very happy with my purchase. My shin splints are gone, the mat is a manageable size and so far it has no tears (although I’ve only been using it for about 2 months). ... show more

  • Updated review. After original negative impressions, I find I really like this product.
First thoughts. I bought this as a pad for my new rowing machine. It fits fine but it seems to be a bit thin. I think the price is too high for such a flimsy product. I think it will tear if I pull on it too hard. I discovered it while trying to straighten it. It didn't tear because I realized the danger in time. We'll see how durable it is after a few months of use. Not terribly impressed at this point. UPDATE: While this product is thin and expensive for what it is (which is why it only gets 4 stars) after using it daily for vigorous workouts, I find it works perfectly with my rowing machine. It stays put and protects my floor, which is what it is designed to do. I'm perfectly satisfied with this product. ... show more

  • Great Bargain
Style: 2.5' x 6' Pattern Name: Mat
This is a great mat for basic exercise and equipment and a great bargain to get two of them for the price of one. I use it every day and have a recumbent exercycle and weights on top of the mat and the mat sits on carpet. I also use it for floor exercises. I purchased a larger and more expensive mat for an elliptical machine and I can't tell the difference in quality between the two. The mat with the exercycle does move forward about foot or so every couple of weeks but that is to be expected on carpet. Would definitely buy again as it can be used for many other functions. ... show more

  • Durable and Useful!
Style: 2.5' x 6' Pattern Name: Mat
I bought this to do boxing exercises on my carpeted floors. Since my workout requires a lot of small steps in orthogonal directions, my feet tended to get really warm as it created friction with the carpet. The mat itself is a bit sticky when it is first used, but after about a few hours the issue goes away. I think this would also be useful as a non-stick surface for a kitchen, since the pad itself is soft and I noticed that my feet tire less after standing for extended periods of time. ... show more

  • Just what I was looking for
Style: 2.5' x 6' Pattern Name: Mat
I was shopping for a mat that I could place a training stand for my bike to use indoors. I was a bit skeptical since it appeared from the illustration that the mat was about 1/4" thick. Many of the reviewers indicated that it was much less. The old mat was thin; didn't take much to cause it to rip; and the corners never laid flat on the floor. Well, this mat was just shy of 1/4" but 3 times as thick as the old one that it replaced. I also like the way that the long edges are rounded tapering to the floor thus avoiding a tripping hazard and its heavy enough to lay flat on the floor. ... show more

  • Great exercise mat, highly recommend
Style: 2.5' x 6' Pattern Name: Mat
Bought this to replace an old Bowflex mat. I no longer needed a square mat so I thought I would give this a try. For starters that Bowflex mat's MSRP is $99, so do the math. Second, the Amazon mat is about twice as thick and way more forgiving (I do a lot of plyometric training on it). It rolls up easily and doesn't hold the rolled shape (a problem with my old mat). This just seems so much better than the mat it replaced and at a quarter of the price (to be fair, the Bowflex mat was technically free). ... show more
