  • Works great for what I needed
Style: Tilting
I was really surprised at how well this worked for the money. I have a 55" LED that I wanted to hand and didn't want to spend a lot as I'll move/replace it at some point. I have a 75", which has a much more expensive mount with the tilt, pull out and swivel. It's an awesome mount, although it cost 3x as much. I wanted to hang my TV up around 8' and tilt a bit so I could see it from my desk that is about 18' away. This mount achieved this without a problem. With my 55" TV, I could tilt it just the right amount. Given that the mount is pretty close to the wall, I don't think a larger TV would allow that much tilt. Just doing a bit of off the top measuring, a 75" probably wouldn't have any tilt because the mount doesn't come out from the wall more than a couple inches. Installation was a breeze. The part of the mount that goes in the wall has a level built into it and only takes four screws. I spent more time centering it up where I wanted than actually screwing it in. The two arms that attach to the TV have plenty of options for sizes, so I'd suspect you'd be hard pressed to find a TV that wouldn't fit it. Amazon supplied ample screw sizes and spacers, so I didn't need to search for the proper size outside the purchase. Once you attach the arms, just hand the arms on the mount and make sure the latch on the bottom snaps on. Only way for the TV to then come off without releasing the latches is to slide it all the way off the side (you'd have to intentionally want this to happen). The strings that hang for releasing the latches were a cool little design and easy enough to tuck away out of sight. For the money, this is a great mount and easy to install. It's very flush, so if you need to get cables in place before hanging (I couldn't get my hand behind the TV once hung, my wife could a bit). As long as your TV cable connections are parallel to the TV, spacing behind the TV wouldn't be an issue. You only have a down tilt, which will be less of a tilt with a larger TV. I would definitely purchase this again for similar needs. ... show more

  • nice for the price but some caveats
Style: Full Motion Articulating
Solid, heavy, and functional. For the price, this is surprisingly well made. You will need tools, be at least a little handy, and you'll be much happier with a helper for all but the smallest screens. I managed a 65" LG (ca.2020) by myself, with a bit of struggle, as an average height/size male. Would not recommend it. I would not physically have been able to install a larger screen by myself. Also keep in mind some screens (OLED) are much more delicate than LEDs and should not be manhandled. Some brief negatives: the instructions are awful, more confusing than helpful. There's no guidance for how high to mount your TV, nor how far up/down the back of the unit the VESA rails should go. I don't dock a star because bad instructions are almost requisite for generic brands. Do some online reading before you get started. There's a lot of "extra" hardware, but there's no bolts for locking down the front/back tilt, which at least for my screen caused it to droop until I wedged in some bolts. I dock a star for this obvious oversight. Pictured: basic version, fully articulated and off-center. One other important caveat - once this is mounted, it'll be hard to get to the back of the TV, especially if it's a large one, high up, or in a recessed area (such as mine, where there's no side access because of nook walls on each side). You want to decide how and where to run your cables (and attach them) before hanging the TV. A good basic choice if you don't know what you want in a TV mount. But functionally I would cap this model at 65" maximum. ... show more

  • Very nice and heavy duty mount offering great tilt ranges but 1 problem...
Style: Tilting
This is a very strong, yet inexpensive TV mount that comes with everything and more you could need to mount most any TV. However, the bubble level built into the mount was off a bit so don't trust it. Before I drilled my holes for the lag bolts I double checked the levelness of the bracket with my contractor's level and also a smart phone level app and they both confirmed the built-in level was off a bit. Now, many people may not notice it but I would. I mounted a 55" TV and decided to only use 2 of the 4 included massive lag bolts. There is just no need to drill 4 holes in a wall and sink 4 lag bolts for a 55" TV but if you are up in the 70"-80" range maybe? Anyway, having the expanded tilt range allows a TV to be mounted higher and still properly pointing at you. I put this one in a spare bedroom so with one's head on a pillow in the bed the TV is still aimed directly at guests. Anyway, a great value for the price and the fact that the mount is one piece and wide means you can tap 2 studs that may not be centered where you want the TV to be and still get the TV perfectly centered for your room along the mount. Yes, this is a 2-person job no doubt and it takes some time... as they say, measure 2 or 3 or 10 times and then drill once so everything ends up just where you want it. Adding 1 more hint... If you are going to mount a TV higher like I did and you need to angle it down more you want to attach the 2 brackets to the back of the TV so they are as low as possible so the bottom of the TV doesn't hit the wall when tilted down. So, when you are putting the 2 brackets on the back of the TV you want the top holes on those 2 brackets screwed into the 2 top holes on the TV. Then adjust put the other 2 screws into the lower holes on each side. I did this first so I could then measure and know where to place the permanent mount on the wall that requires drilling and sinking those lag bolts into 2 studs. ... show more
