This crate is a perfect fit for my frenchton. He enjoys the space and will sometimes just go in to hang out. It's very well made and was crazy easy to put together. It locks in place and isn't flimsy, but also isn't super heavy. A nice buy. I'm glad I got it.

This review is both for the 36x23x25" double door crate and 42" single door. I was quite impressed. It's higher quality than any other similar crate I've seen / borrowed, especially when it comes to the door latches. There is a molded plastic handle that is spring loaded, and it engages no less than three heavy duty (thicker gauge steel than the rest of the cage) latches. A very good design and will keep in all but the most destructive dogs. I'm pretty sure my Jack Terrier mix could turn it into a pretzel, but most dogs will be just fine in it! The 36" size is perfectly adequate for our 6 month old female doberman, but it's just small enough that I question whether it'll be large enough when she's fully grown. For reference, I also bought the next largest cage (42x28x30 with single door) for our male doberman and you can nearly fit a human in it (slightly exaggerating). So going from the 36" cage to the 42" is a HUGE difference as you can see in the photos. In conclusion I'm very pleased with the purchase and haven't seen another of these kennels built to this quality. I'm especially talking about the 36" which actually has thicker metal than the larger 42" version which I'll review below. The 42" version is sort of a spitting image of the 36" but MUCH larger and has a single front door. The metal for the door latches is actually thicker on the 36" cage, but the 42" version retains the 3-latch system with spring loaded release. The 42" variant should fit either of our Dobermans (once full grown) with ease. If you're buying for large dog puppy training, you'll probably want the 36" or something smaller.

We have a few solid-sided crates that have been used for our own and many foster dogs, but they are much heavier and a little smaller than we wanted. I was hoping this would fit the dog bed a little better than it does, but the bolsters may settle down a bit and the bottom may fit a little better after the dog uses the crate some more. Overall, she can easily fit inside and the door closes securely so that we shouldn't have to worry about her counter-surfing adventures when we are out of the house. Really like that she (and we) have full visibility on all sides. The divider panel had some bent wires, but we don't really need it and it could probably be easily straightened. Crate seems fairly sturdy and was easy to set up. Detachable handle for the top doesn't really seem very practical, but it's nice that a handle was included. Tray slides out of the bottom easily enough after unlatching the front. Overall, this will work well for our dog, but if we had a rambunctious escape artist it might get a little bent out of shape.

Great cage for new puppies. The divider makes it easy to use as the dog can grow into the crate, instead of needing to upgrade to a larger crate in the future. Good quality materials that our puppy can not break through. Easy to fold up to take on the go if necessary.
