This review is for the gray-colored headboard; color is medium gray exactly as pictured. I needed an inexpensive headboard just to keep the pillows on the bed while I’m in a temporary living situation. I bought headboard mounting plates, but I’m not using them because the headboard works fine and is the perfect height standing on the floor pushed tightly between my standard queen bed rails and wall. (I have to readjust after a lot of “movement,” but no problem since I will only be living here for another month.) The upholstery looks more expensive than it is—sort of thickish and textured, almost rough (a good way)—and leaning against it is very comfortable when my boyfriend and I are watching tv—exceeded my expectations considering the cheap price. If you’re looking for something high-end or a headboard that doesn’t have to be against the wall, you’ll want to pick something else because the back is not finished (covered in black, cheesy fabric—kind of like the stuff that’s on the bottom of your mattress—and looks like it will rip easily). This doesn’t matter for me though. I’m very happy with this purchase. So easy to put together! I had it on my bed in under 10 minutes. Only down side is they don't give you the nuts/bolts to attach the headboard to the bed (they only give you enough to attach the legs to the headboard). So I had to go buy those on my own, but other than that - it's a great headboard. Looks really nice, and it was a great deal compared to headboards I saw elsewhere.

It is absolutely infuriating that this Amazon headboard does not for the Amazon bed frame. The holes do not line up to attach the headboard to the frame, nor does it come with bolts to allow you to do so. There’s also no instructions. I had to go to a hardware store, find bolts I thought might fit, drill new holes in the headboard legs, bore them out so the bolts would go thru, and then fight like a demon trying to get it all attached. The final result is a wobbly, badly attached headboard. They should at least warn you that the holes on the headboard do not line up with their own bed frame. Horrible experience.

I bought this headboard for my 16-year-old daughter. For the price, you can't beat it. The fabric feels nice and appears quite durable. I was afraid that there would be a big gap between the top of the mattress and the bottom of the fabric but as it turns out there are multiple holes in the posts that you can adjust the height t your size mattress. My only con is the way it attaches to the bed frame. The headboard tilts forward since it is top-heavy. Even though there are two bolts that attach the headboard to the frame it wasn't enough to keep the headboard at a 90-degree angle. So, to stop the headboard from tilting forward I just put a zip tie around the bottom of the post and frame to give it added support. You can see the white zip tie in the picture. Once I did this the post from the headboard straightened right up. I wasn't sure if this issue was caused by the way the bedframe was designed or due to the headboard.

I think this is a good value for a headboard. Unfortunately, I personally didn't like it enough, and spent an extra ten dollars to get a slightly better one. The design of the headboard is fine. My main issue is it looks like someone covered foam in fabric, and made indentations at the square intersections. It doesn't look like enough effort was made to give it more depth visually, and because of that it looked a bit cheap. Instead, I got the Modway Lily Upholstered Tufted Fabric Headboard Queen Size in Gray , which is ten dollars more. It's the same design, but if you compare the two, this one has more depth in the upholstery.

Great headboard, seems to be pretty durable. However make sure you buy hardware to mount on your frame! Someone in the questions pointed that out thankfully, I purchased Carriage bolt 5/6 x 1-1/2. Code AHA. Nut: ABC, washer: ABB from Lowes, and additionally 4 lock washers (whatever you call them).
