Does the job but doesn’t foam very well, if at all. The scent is kind of minty and my skin sometimes gets sensitive after using it. However, it does have the desired effect on skin in preventing and healing breakouts.

Great product with 5% benzoyl peroxide. 5% benzoyl peroxide is the only thing which has ever worked for me to effectively treat the extreme amount of oiliness on my face, medically referred to as excess sebum production. One caution: benzoyl peroxide is similar to Clorox bleach. You will permanently bleach, your shirt or your pants or whatever you’re wearing if you are at all dressed when using this product. I strongly recommend that you only use it while you’re in the shower, let it stay on your face for a number of minutes, and then thoroughly wash it off with the showerhead, just as if you were washing off shampoo or soap. Don’t ruin your clothing. The only alternative, for me, has been oral isotretinoin. That has been an absolute lifesaver for me, but it is a prescription, and not all dermatologist will prescribe it. If you want to be taking oral isotretinoin, you first need to call around to different dermatologist offices and ask if the dermatologist actually prescribes isotretinoin when he or she determines it necessary. So, you are not asking for a diagnosis or a prescription, you’re only asking at this dermatologist will prescribe it at some point. Many dermatologists will not, as there are risks relative to women of child bearing age taking this and becoming pregnant while taking it. ... show more

His skin texture actually did show improvement in one wash, but WOW is he allergic to this product. He's had half a bottle of benadryl and his eyes are starting to open up, but they were swollen shut this morning after trying this face wash last night. Only new thing he did.

Dermatologist told me that there's really no difference in a 5% or 10% , however, the difference is that the 10% is creamy and doesn't run off your body or face when you put it on.So for those who have to wash your entire body with this, the is the one you want!

Nope - I tried thinking this would be comparable to the brand name only to save a couple of dollars. Here’s a case where it’s just not worth it. This is terrible. I’ve use the name brand and even the brand from the big box blue store with gold lettering and this product is inferior. Why or how can I make this statement? Simple - I used my senses. The smell is not the same, it doesn’t have a strong smell, despite leaving it on my skin for 10 minutes, it never dried it out like the other two brands mentioned, I even tested a piece of fabric to see if it would bleach it and it didn’t. While I purchased 10%, my best guess is this is under 2%. I thought maybe a had a bad batch so I bought it a second time and it’s the same. I’m sorry to write this review but buyer should be aware this is an inferior product and, if you couldn’t tell, I would’ve given this a zero if I was able. ... show more
