Worth the money
Will update this review over time just like a few others have that helped me make my decision purchasing it. Just got this mattress and so far, so good. It's only night two on it, and I honestly could not be happier for the price. I went from a pretty expensive worn-in, sagging, memory foam mattress from one of the high end companies, and the first night on this one made a world of difference already. I actually stayed asleep for one and had zero back pain because it has firm support but is still comfortable. So far, the only downside yet is the chemical smell. Its not extremely noticeable initially but once you're laying on the mattress and down for the night, it does become noticeable and is slightly unpleasant. I'm assuming it will likely take a few more days to dissipate. The mattress fluffed out really nicely and if I was able, I would've waited a little longer to let it air out and fluff more but ce la vie. So far, no complaints and I am thoroughly pleased and already sleeping much better. SIXTH MONTH UPDATE: Still comfortable. It has worn in and I feel like I’ve made my “intentions” where I habitually sleep in certain spots but still overall holding up really well for the price. I did wind up getting a mattress topper just specifically maximum coziness but honestly the mattress is still fine and comfortable enough. The firmness has won down some now that it’s been worn in but not in a way that it feels worn “out”. Overall, great alternative if you don’t want to/can’t fork over the money for a big name brand mattress. Will update at the year mark. ... show more

Amazing bed for the price

Fairly impressed.
I purchased this mattress to replace my old one. At the time I didn't have the money to buy a very expensive mattress so I decided to go for this one and save for a higher quality one down the road, using this one as a guest bed later. I was surprised at how comfortable the mattress was and have decided to keep using it. I've been sleeping on it for almost a year now and have no complaints. It's more of a soft medium, which typically I'd like a more firm mattress but for the price and quality, I am satisfied with my purchase. Definitely a good cost alternative if you can't afford to pay an arm and a leg on a new mattress. ... show more

It relieved my back pain
I’m giving this a 5 star because it’s exactly what I needed and exactly what was pictured and described in other reviews. I bought a queen extra firm. It has helped my sleep and my back pain. It’s so comfortable I sleep flat on my back with no pillows and I wake feeling so good. I’m 40 so I still stretch when I wake and I have to say after that I am in remarkable pain free alertness. My old bed was horrible and thought to this can’t just be me it has to be the mattress. So I tried my mothers bed one day I visited I took a nap on it and that’s when I decided ok. I need to get one. The other reviews also helped A LOT. I didn’t realize how many people have back pain or neck pain because of the mattresses. ... show more

"Firm" but I sink in more than mattress we're replacing and doesn't feel firm
I sink in a TON more. This is NOT FIRM. Our old Zinus memory foam mattress I can sit on the edge of the bed and it barely moves, this Amazon Queen Size "FIRM" mattress I sink in a good 5-6 inches. This MAY be due to the air channels in one of the foam layers? Mattresses are not meant for sitting, but that's a huge indication this is less firm and less dense than Medium and Medium-Firm memory foam mattresses I've had in the past. It's not as noticeable laying down, when weight is distributed across the mattress I seem to sink in pretty evenly, so even though it's not at all "Firm" as they claim, I have had less back pain the few days we've used it so far. The problem is, now my wife is uncomfortable because she feels she is sinking in more. We're both average weight and in fair shape, but I've had back and neck pain most of my life and neck surgery a couple years ago due to injuries. This mattress seems to have a more EVEN sink for me which keeps me in better alignment compared to our worn out mattress, but since it sinks so much more my wife feels like she's sliding down and now she's having back pain. We didn't use it at all first couple of days, to let the foam rise to it's original shape/density. We are going to try it out a few more nights before deciding, but at this point I'm leaning towards returning it. I'd keep it if I slept by myself, despite sinking in more, because there is an even distribution when it's just me. It also seems a SLIGHT bit cooler than our older mattress. But since this thing sinks half way through it's 12 inch height, my wife feels like she's on a slide when my 165-170lbs sinks in more than her much lighter frame. ... show more

Major sinking after only one year—terrible for side sleepers
I bought this mattress just one year ago, and it is already completely sinking. Initially, it seemed fine, but it has lost all of its support over the last few months. As a side sleeper, proper support is crucial to keep my spine aligned, but this mattress now sags deeply whenever I lie down. I wake up uncomfortable because my hips and shoulders sink right through. A mattress should last much longer than 12 months before showing this level of wear and tear. I am incredibly disappointed with the durability and quality. If you are a side sleeper looking for a mattress that holds its shape and actually lasts, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. ... show more

It really is gel memory foam
For the price it really feels like you're robbing Amazon, this mattress is so comfortable. I honestly thought it would be firm and they were lying in the reviews ..but I can say the quality is worth the money you'll be sinking in the mattress, its so soft and when you lay down it really form to your body which i personally love!
