I think this is a fine pruner. It's not as sharp as I was hoping, but then again I have not had a lot of experiences with different pruners. Essentially it cuts the more stiff branches alright but anything a bit softer it folds in half and I have to go back and forth to get the cut that results in something not clean and stringy.
