Excellent price. I've been wearing it now for an hour or so straight and running my gopro for the duration. No problems so far. Fits snug. I do have it fully extended and I wear a Large size shirt. I like it a lot actually and it was super comfortable to wear after hours of use. I have a rather slim frame so this was perfectly snug. The plastic that clips the camera fastener to the chest mount is super fragile so careful when removing your camera from the chest mount. I had a little piece of plastic crack off already but it still hold the camera on my chest well. I mainly use this thing for fishing so I didn't want to spend too much. Bought this to use for fishing and went with it because Amazon Basics gear has always been quality! The mount straps are comfy and easy to navigate. Over I am very happy with it because even the price is a very good price!

The quality control is bad. Was attempting to attach the gopro to the chest mount and the amazon basics snap broke off. You can in the pictures. This was the first time trying to attach the gopro to the chest mount, too. Did not fet a single use out of this purchase. So got a REAL gopro mount to attach the gopro to chest mount. This time the snap did not break off, but the snapndoes not seat properly in the chest mount as you can see that the the rubber "lock" will not sit in the recess properly. I took it out any ways and it allowed me to capture some great footage. The chest strap it self is great. Just know that the straps get tight if your chest size larger than 44. ... show more

In a nutshell, this item worked just fine. Fit was fantastic and the price is well less than half the name-brand. Details: Before purchasing I read the complaints that it was flimsy and breakable. I wear my GoPro hiking, so generally it's not at a huge risk of being destroyed if a mount breaks. I figured this item was worth trying out. When I unpacked it, it didn't seem flimsy to me although I admit I didn't put it through any torture tests. I've been using the GoPro magnetic swivel clip, clipped onto my backpack strap up until now. The trouble with that is that it moves around quite a bit, usually changing the angle of the camera to the ground. No matter how often I check and correct it, I get home to find most of my pictures at an angle (not zero) to optimum. I hoped the chest mount would keep the camera level to the ground without so much checking and adjusting. As you might expect, it did wonderfully at that. The size of the harness is barely suitable for me. If I had my druthers, they'd offer an "extra large," but they don't. I'm 6'1" and 235#. I wore it with the harness straps fully extended - the biggest they can be. It was not uncomfortable, but I'm staying away from Christmas cookies for the next 11 months. I wore it under my jacket but over my shirt. I'm pretty sure it would not go outside my jacket. Definitely not comfortably. When wearing it, it again felt sturdy enough. I think I'd use it even skydiving, bungee jumping or motorcycling. Checking camera functions was much easier with the chest mount than the swivel clip. I could easily flip the camera forward and check battery life, etc., then flip it back into place and move on. With the swivel clip, I had to take it off to check camera status, then put it back on and re-orient it. In all, I think this mount is just fine. For less than half the price of the brand-name mount, it's pretty easy to recommend. ... show more

I purchased this mount for my GoPro Hero 8 to use at dog trials. I have now used it at 4 trials and its held up wonderfully. I run in it at trials and doesn't bounce around or shift. Very comfortable and holds the GoPro very well. I am not doing anything too crazy, but its held up just fine for me. Highly recommend! ... show more
