Use this alllll the time for my kids homeschool curriculum. Works great. Heats up quickly. Small and compact so it’s easy to store. Would definitely recommend it! I have used it with regular printing paper as well as cardstock. Both worked perfectly.

Okay... Let me set the scene: I decided to DIY my own wedding invitations. Highly, highly do not recommend unless you have an abundance of free time and a high tolerance for chaos. But after falling down a rabbit hole of TikTok and YouTube tutorials, I had a game plan — to gold foil everything. This thing is lightweight, reliable, and completely dedicated to the DIY project. More so than my fiancee was lol. I carried it back and forth to work multiple times and it fired up and got straight to business every single time — no fuss, no warm-up drama. It handled the gold foiling beautifully, and honestly that alone sold me. Full disclosure: I haven't actually used it to laminate anything yet. But if it performs half as well for laminating as it did for foiling, this is an unbeatable deal for the price. Some tools just show up for you, and this laminator showed up to tackle the world with me. My invitations nearly broke me. This laminator? Never wavered.

I’ve been using this mainly for laminating kids’ materials, and it’s been reliable so far. It warms up in just a few minutes and runs quietly. I haven’t experienced any jams, and the seal quality has been consistently solid with no bubbling. It’s not especially fast, but for home use it’s more than adequate. The one thing to watch is how you feed the laminating sheet. If you insert it from the open edge instead of the sealed edge, it can bunch up and require clearing. Once you know that, it’s easy to avoid. Overall, a dependable laminator for everyday home use.

I honestly didn’t expect to love this laminator as much as I do — especially for the price! I grabbed the Amazon Basics Thermal Laminator on a whim because it was only around $25 and I needed something simple and reliable for my daughter’s homeschooling activities. I’m a full-time caregiver and homeschooling mom, so keeping things budget-friendly is really important to me, but I also can’t afford to keep buying things that don’t work well. This was such a pleasant surprise. First of all, it’s compact and lightweight, which I appreciate because I don’t have a ton of space. It’s easy to store on a bookshelf or in a drawer and isn’t bulky or ugly. I can take it out when I need it and put it away just as quickly. The laminator heats up in about 3–5 minutes, which is totally reasonable for my needs. There’s a simple switch for 3 mil or 5 mil settings depending on what kind of pouches you’re using, and it even comes with a jam release lever which I haven’t needed yet — but I love knowing it’s there just in case. I’ve used it to laminate flashcards, tracing sheets, visual schedules, behavior charts, craft templates, chore checklists, and even Bluey-inspired pretend play pieces — and everything has come out looking smooth and professional.
