  • Sturdy - USA made laminator -
We had been using another laminator that only seemed to last up to two years, and we had to keep replacing every two years, we kept ordering the same laminator. We decided to order a different model type and see how this change worked with our school office-teacher use. It seems like a very sturdy laminator, it starts up quickly, and has a standby feature button so the laminator does not overheat, and it seems to be simple, user-friendly to operate. So far it is wonderful! And also a good factor, this laminator has a five-year warranty, which we definitely need, since the laminator is in constant use within the school for student curriculum. Thank you! ... show more

  • This thing is a tank.
I got this for my wife for various crafty things she does. It's proven itself very reliable, and very useful. It does all of the normal laminating things you would expect, but she's also using it for foiling. For those unfamiliar, this is where you print an image with a laser printer and use the laminator to melt foil onto the toner. It creates some really fantastic results and this laminator doesn't struggle at all even while handling card stock, the carrier, and foil. She had zero issues with proper transfer after dialing in the proper settings for the job. ... show more

  • Excellent Heavy Duty Laminator
I purchased this to replace a junky Fellowes laminator for work. This is easy to operate and laminates well. It is a simplistic design with a long warranty. If it did break after the warranty, it appears to be easy to fix if you are mechanically inclined. It comes with a breakdown of parts etc to make it even easier. ... show more

  • TLC 12-9/16" Pouch Laminator
Works great, runs smoothly and looks sturdy and I give this laminator bonus points for being made in the USA

  • Sturdy and easy to use - 5 year warranty is great
We bought this for our office and it is a great laminator overall. Those with complaints about it I suspect failed to use a "carrier" which is absolutely necessary if you don't want to take the chance of jams on 5 mm or less laminating pouches, or they failed to wait for the laminator to heat up, or cool down as instructed. Very easy to use - I set the temperature to "2" for a 3 mm width pouch, turn green light on; wait for Amber ready/run light to begin blinking, signaling it is at the correct temp and ready to laminate; turn on the rollers using the Ready/Run button, and then just insert laminating pouch with a carrier. (We simply use a folded paper that came with our laminating pouches as the carrier). If the amber light stops blinking and remains a steady light, then that means the laminator is overheating and needs to cool down some before reinserting anything. If I had a complaint, it would be that this came with brief one-page instructions that appear to be generic and not model specific, and had absolutely no troubleshooting instructions. I had to learn what I needed mostly by doing research on similar laminators...but that took time. Also, a reverse button would be nice because the laminator absolutely will not let go of a partially inserted pouch. Would purchase again. ... show more

  • Great for a school!
So far we LOVE this machine, so easy to use and no "bubbles" with the finished product. I work at a small private school and this is perfect for our needs and so far - knock on wood - no issues at all.

  • Worst lamination quality I have ever had in a Laminator
We have now been using this laminator for well over a year. We are a small copy center and have had many laminators over our 25 years in business. This will not make a smooth flat lamination regardless of temperature. Every lamination is wavy and we have had to refund customers for their laminations countless times. It also will always make countless air bubbles anywhere there is not paper so all the edges and space around the item you are laminating looks terrible on top of the fact its wavy and rippled. We sent it in to be repaired figuring their is something wrong with it using the 5 year warranty it claims to have as to us we figured something was wrong with the rollers hence why the laminations came out terrible. The refused to fix it saying nothing was wrong and that wavy and rippled laminations was normal and that having countless air bubbles was perfectly acceptable. They sent the laminator back to us in the exact same condition we sent it to them and they claim the terrible laminatons this machine produces are perfectly acceptable and said and I quote "if you want a perfect lamination you will have to spend more money and buy a higher end machine", as if spending $300+ on a laminator was chump change. Do no buy this laminator! The manufacture does not stand behind their product and they fully believe that wavy, rippled and air bubble filled laminations are acceptable. ... show more
