I destroyed two laminators trying to figure out what I needed. The first one was $20, from here on Amazon. It was simple; I needed to run paper through a hot roller with mechanical precision to make a plastic sheet stick to it. So, you don't need much, right? [[[[[((((((WRONG))))))]]]]]]] Oh, no. Thinking it's simple is just the Fool's Journey. At first, it will be fine. Then, the first time you don't perfectly align the paper into it at a perfectly straight angle, it will jam. And it will suck the plastic into the hot roller, and bake itself into it, permanently. You'll rip out the paper, because the cheap ABS lever thing isn't going to do jack, really, and the laminator is never going to create clear, smooth results again. There will be huge creases from the damaged roller across everything. Maybe later, you'll find another laminator at the thrift store, and even though it's a good brand, the same thing will happen- it will jam. And it will thenceforth destroy all of your prints with the fiendish glee of the Laminator from HELL. You know what would have prevented that? Paying over $100 for a HUGE laminator with enough wiggle room that can handle paper being 1/500th of an inch off-center, and a full-on REVERSE mode, with four active rollers that will barf it back out before it has time to destroy itself. It's built to handle thickness, and it's big enough that I trust it to do so. I also sometimes employ double-sided tape to the superflous ends of the lamination bag/sheet that I intend to cut off, because I'm so paranoid. SO FAR, SO GOOD. Just me here keeping my fingers crossed. This model is ready very quickly, passes the sheets in a breeze, much faster than the other two (RIP), and seems a much better overall quality. You get what you pay for.

I have been using this for the last 9 months, and it is a workhorse. I have made laminated planner dividers, 10mil planner covers, and so much more! It has kept up with it all. I am really hard on laminators. lol. But, this is the best quality one I have used in a decade. It doesn’t overheat like my last two laminators. It is also pretty quiet for its size. I’ve had smaller laminators that made 2-3 times more noise. And, I love that it can fit my 12x12 laminating sheets for scrapbook projects. So far, I’ve also had no jamming, which was a major pain point with all of my previous models. I have never used anything from this brand before, so I felt like I took a huge chance on this. But, I am so glad I did. It has performed well, regardless of whether it has been used for personal or professional projects. I highly recommend this laminator. It’s hands down the best one I have ever used, and I have used several by the big name brands. This beats them all!

This laminator is very good at a very good price. It does several different thicknesses, and it warms up quickly. I haven't had one item that I had to re-do from laminator failure. Their customer service is really good too. I had one issue, that turned out to be purely operator error, but they were very quick to respond to emails and helped me out. I would 100% be looking for the same item if I ever need another one.

Only lasted 1 year before it stopped working. Pouches get rejected by the machine and ruin my projects now. Tried contacting the company to see if they could help me repair it, but they won't respond to my requests for support or help :( EDIT: after finally figuring out how to contact them, the company sent me a new one, and it works great. yay :) Laminator is great for my projects.
