We like the flexibility of the pen systems. In fact we bought 2. We use the pens with just 4 panels when the Yorkshire puppies are small with a plastic hydroponics crate as a Welping bed. As the puppy grow we expand the pens. Once they are mobile at about 3 weeks they tend to place their heads through the holes in the pen panels. Some squeeze through and escape. We have placed plastic fencing on the lower 1/2 of the panels to prevent this (see picture). We find for the adult Yorkie they will jump out. We use an enclosed crate if we need to corral them or a make shift a covering on the pen. ... show more

Initially I was Very happy with this product. Super easy to set up and liked the way you can reposition each panel at different angles and it holds that angle or easily add and delete panels. I also wanted a plastic pen so it wouldnโ€™t scratch our wood floors. I liked it so much I even ordered a second one. About two weeks later my puppy figured out that he can use the panels like ladders and climb right out. He was a 10-11 week old Chessie Retreiver at that time. I think that any pen with vertical slats or wires will probably have the same issue if the puppy is tall enough to put his paws over the top of the panel and has anything to stand on. I ended up buying a larger wire kennel with a roof to solve the issue. ... show more

Easy to put together. Sturdy enough to handle small puppies (we have 2 basset hounds). The gate latch seems easy to break, hoping it will hold up. I ordered black but was sent white color. I needed it ASAP, so I kept the white.

This pen came up as a whelping pen. I don't recommend to use it for a whelping with new born puppies because the grates hiles are large and they can crawl through. A couple of puppies have gotten their head stuck and I had to rig bumpers to avoid this. However once they grow a bit it should work well. ... show more
