    • Great for Lying Down, Not So Much for Lounging
My grandma has been sleeping in her recliner for years, and when I saw this one I thought it might be a real upgrade for her. The chenille fabric is genuinely soft and feels well made, the stitching is clean, and the cushion has a nice thickness to it without feeling like you're sinking into quicksand. Assembly was straightforward and I got it done solo in under 30 minutes with no real frustration. Here's where my experience got complicated though. The synchronized backrest and footrest system sounds great on paper, but in practice it means the chair kind of moves as one unit. If you want your feet elevated while sitting relatively upright, like for reading or watching TV, this chair doesn't really accommodate that position well. It's either pretty much fully upright or trending toward a reclined lay-flat situation, with limited in-between options that feel natural. For my grandma, who basically wanted a safe place to sleep without climbing into a bed, it actually works perfectly. The USB port on the side is a nice touch and she uses it daily for her phone. The cup holder is a bit shallow for taller bottles, but it handles a standard mug without issue. If your primary use is full relaxation or sleep-adjacent lounging, this delivers. This power recliner is extra wide, a dark mottled gray color, and has a medium level of firmness. It lays almost completely flat from upright with the included remote that has a USB charge port in its end. I find it very comfortable and it's roomy enough for my cat to sit next to me in it. It's good for watching movies, playing games, and naps. It was pretty easy to assemble following the directions included and the motorized parts are compact, sturdy, and made from good materials. The cup holders in the arms are a great addition and fit most of my cups that don't have handles. There's large flat pockets on the sides that can hold remotes or even magazines. We got two of these power reclining chairs to replace older chairs in our living room that didn't recline or have cup holders, so these have been an immediate upgrade for us. Assembly took my husband about 45 minutes per chair, including unpacking, and he said that the instructions were straightforward. In terms of sizing, the length runs a bit short. My husband is 6'5" and his legs hang off the recliner. I'm 5'3", and even my feet hang slightly off the end when fully reclined. Most of my family is on the shorter side, so they still work well for us, but I would recommend looking at a larger recliner if you're around 6 feet or taller. Comfort-wise, the chair is very plush and cozy, with a nice, wide seat. The fabric feels thick and durable, and the chair remains stable even when fully reclined. The attached remote is simple to use, and the cup holders and side pocket are really convenient. My nephew is excited to have a chair that easily holds a drink and a snack. My cats also love this chair, and there's always someone trying to sleep in it. These are comfortable, functional recliners with great features, but the length may not work for taller users.
