If you’ve ever said to yourself, “What I really need is 25 pounds of classic, straight-shooting, no-nonsense paraffin wax,” then friend, you are in for a treat. This fully refined AM Wax 130 comes in convenient little pastilles that melt down easily, pour cleanly, and behave more or less exactly like wax should—because, well, it is. No scent, no fluff, no spa treatments or essential oil promises—just good, reliable, DIY-grade paraffin that knows what it is and makes no apologies for it. My Rubric ✅ Good = Qualifies as a selling point ➖ So-So = Not great, but also nothing resembling a showstopper ❌ Not Good = Could be a showstopper My star ratings, which tend to skew upward due to limitations in the 5-star system, are further elaborated in a decimalized scoring at the end of the review. Finally, although some items have been freely offered via the Vine system, I refuse to sell out and will never allow a vendor to influence my scoring through any means other than the quality of the product, both on its own and in relation to the current pricing at the time of my review. The Good ✅ Easy to use – Pastille format melts quickly and is simple to measure for consistent batches ✅ Versatile – Great for candle making, crayon crafting, waterproofing, bottle sealing, and more ✅ Odor-free – Melts clean with no scent, so it won’t interfere with added fragrance ✅ Takes color well – Much easier to tint than soy wax, and creates bold hues with less effort ✅ Great volume – A full 25 pounds means you’re stocked up for quite a few projects The So-So ➖ Requires a double-pour – Like all paraffin, it shrinks as it cools, so plan accordingly for candles ➖ Not spa-suitable – This is not intended for skin contact like wax treatments, so keep it in the craft zone The Not-Good ❌ No real downsides if you know what you’re getting – Just don’t expect a miracle cure for your dry hands The Details This wax does exactly what it claims to do, with no surprises—unless you’re surprised by wax doing wax things, in which case I’m not sure how to help you. It melts cleanly around 130–135°F, pours nicely at 150–175°F, and holds fragrance (if added correctly) up to about 7% by weight. I appreciated that the pellets melt evenly and don’t clump or scorch. They’re also easy to scoop, so you don’t end up slinging hunks of wax around your kitchen like some medieval soapsmith. One word of advice: if you’re making candles, follow their suggestion and double-pour. That paraffin shrinkage is no joke—you’ll get that dreaded candle crater if you try to do it all in one go. But honestly, with this quantity and price point, there’s no reason not to do it right. Final Rating: 5/5 (This is as good as bulk craft wax gets—reliable, clean, and satisfying to work with. We’ve only used this wax for a few small projects so far—mainly candle making and a bit of waterproofing—but we’ve been really impressed with the quality. The pastilles melt cleanly and evenly, and we’ve noticed little to no smoke during use, which is a huge plus. The packaging makes it easy to scoop out what you need without a mess. Looking forward to trying it out for more applications as we go. Great value for the amount you get!

Excellent quality paraffin wax at a great price point. I used it to make wax flowers for mothers day and it exceeded all of my expectations. The clearness of the wax was crystal clear. It held well on the flowers and was very easy to use. It has a great feel to it on your skin, as well. It doesn't feel cheap and full of fillers. It is really a top notch wax. As a candle maker and arts and crafters, I will highly recommend this product.

We have been experimenting with candle making for a bit now, so finding resources on the cheap is a plus until we hone our craft. This box of wax does alright, but doesn't quite melt as quickly, evenly, or as pure as others we have used. This and the fact that it is similar in price of alternatives, we will likely continue to experiment with different brands.

I make candles to sell and while I usually work with just soy or coconut wax, I wanted to try making some candles with a soy/paraffin blend, so I went ahead and ordered some wax. As with most purchases, buying in bulk definitely gives you a better price, so if you think you're going to go through a decent amount of wax, it's worth buying this. It comes in individual packages that are 5lbs each, so you're not having to handle all 25lbs at the same time. It comes in little granules, so it also melts very quickly, which is great for when you're trying to make a lot of candles at once. My test candles with the paraffin and paraffin/soy did well. Both held the scents and color well. I prefer the paraffin/soy wax better than just the paraffin by itself, but either way still makes a nice candle. Worth the purchase.

good parrafin wax, works as it should. the girls and i made some pretty cool candles and wax melts with it. holds the scents nicely. no complaints from us. it was packaged in a bag inside of a box, inside of an amazon box, and no damages, no spills, good delivery.

I am very impressed with the quality of this paraffin wax. It melted easily in the double boiler. Holds color and scent well. I've poured it in several different mold types and sizes and have had no issues. Great value for the money considering the quantity and quality.
