you can not tighten the strap tight enough because of design. the holder just spins around the armrest and with bottle in it slides over to an angle. strap needs to be velco so you can pull really tight

I like that it's very collapsible. We load my husband's wheelchair in and out of the back of our truck with a power lift. We have a cap to protect the chair from bad weather. The arm of the chair collides with the arm of the lid of the truck cap. The old cup holder was constantly getting bent or caught. This one is great as it's flexibility means it doesn't get damaged. My husband is a big man. His wheelchair is 35 1/2 inches wide. I purchased this item because it had the ability to be front mounted. However, the top loop doesn't go back far enough. It mounts only a couple inches back. I apologize I don't have a photo right now. That being said, I would definitely buy this product again, as velcro can be used to provide a secondary, tighter restraint. Update: I have purchased three of these now. I use one on my walker to hold my phone and one on my scooter to hold my phone or drink. I am going to be purchasing another. ... show more
