It may have been our fault but we did not see that this was not really made for hollow core doors. We had a hard time installing it but we worked around it and made it work. We had to put one of the flaps up for a while until our dogs got used to it but eventually they did.

I have a 100lb black lab and he was struggling to go through my old pet door. Used to have a beagle. Anyway, this works great. It has 2 flaps so it's probably more energy efficient. He goes through this one without hardly any effort at all. Perfect size for him.

Flaps fell off in a day, screws they use are two small and came stripped. Good design if it wasn’t already broken.

Door (large) was a good size for my 30, 50, and 70 lb dogs. It was easy to install and I was pleased with it. I had no issues until the weather turned cold - the 15/25 degree (F) weather warped the plastic on the door which allows cold weather to come into the house. Once it warmed up the warp went away. However, the flaps kept falling off during that time, requiring me to re-screw them in and after doing that about the 3rd time, the screws themselves somehow snapped in half. So I ended up doing repairs with my own materials and the door is not wind proof anymore. For this price, I would have preferred sturdier materials or a warning about low temperatures.

I did read a review like mine before I bought it and I thought it wouldn’t be that bad but the tiny itty bitty screws that keep the flaps in place are literally 3/16 of an inch. They’re so tiny. It’s very easy for them to get stripped and mine did. Now I’m trying to think of a solution to the problem without having to replace the whole door
