Description

All Truck Products EZ-Mount Dump Tarp Roller Kits are built for dump truck and dump trailer tarp applications. The extruded aluminum roller axle telescopes to the exact width of your truck. The tarp can attach to the roller with a tarp pocket or by preformed slot in the roller to bolt through the tarp's grommets. The kit includes: crank handle, mounting brackets with bearings, tarp roller, Mesh Tarp, 20 ft pull-rope, 4 rope storing J-hooks, two rubber tarp straps with S-hooks, and mounting and tarp bolts.

I was skeptical when UPS delivered and the first thing I noticed was way too much rattling in the box. I thought "it should be ok, it's all metal" We'll it was ok, as much as what parts were/weren't there. A bag of hardware was busted open and everywhere in the box and probably out of the box. What was missing? Who knows? That's because there is nothing, I mean NOTHING telling you a parts list or anything that would resemble instructions. I figured it out and I'm sure I came up with a better solution than trying to contact the seller and explain what was missing. It would have been an episode of "Who's on first" "How do you know your missing parts if they're not there" The parts seem machined well and with proper care this should last a long time. Some of the holes had burrs but cleaned up easily. Some factory nuts that should have been tight were not, check em all folks! Overall I'm satisfied with it. Time will tell. ... show more

The plate and bar appear to be aluminum but the cog and some other points looks like painted steel. Well I know the cog needs to be strong but a part that gets the bulk of the wear and tear should be made of a material that won’t rust or better coated. Also the wire attachment point for the release lever came out, easily replaced but rather annoying. Only have had this installed for less than a year and used only a handful of times- disappointing but then again it wasn’t a premium level product so I guess you get what you pay for.
