I have been needing a high capacity incubator for quite a while so when I stumbled across this one I had to give it a go! Upon opening the package after receiving this I really appreciated that it was very well packed with plenty of Styrofoam and it was very well secured so there was no damage whatsoever to the incubator or any of the parts. So far this is definitely true to the ad in terms of functionality. The egg turner works perfectly, and the display is very easy to read and understand when adjusting the temperature Etc. The humidity level displays as well and you can easily add in water to change it to what you needed to be. This comes with a manual as well that will tell you how to get it up and running. You might not need that if you are familiar with incubators but otherwise the manual is very easy to read and understand if you are a beginner. Everything feels very high quality and very well made. This does not feel like a cheap easily breakable incubator by any means. I have already tested this out for four nights in a row and it has held its temperature all night perfectly and all the other functions worked perfectly as well. We will be getting our eggs in next week and I can't wait to really put this to the test! It seems like it is going to be a perfect incubator though everything is holding up perfectly and has been true to the ad so far! If you're looking for a good high capacity incubator I definitely recommend this one! This is an excellent value for your money especially considering all that it does! I really love the Altrapow egg incubator except for two issues as pictured: the top cover doesn't quite mate to the incubator unit, leaving a small gap for air to enter or escape. It's easy enough to deal with if you jockey the top closed in a certain way, but the lip of the top still is markedly not quite lined up flush with the unit. Nonetheless, the incubator does heat up relatively quickly and holds a stable temperature and humidity level. To date, this is the only issue I will deduct a rating star for. The other issue of concern is that one of the LED light strips for egg candling was loose and dangling from the roller unit when the incubator arrived. I'm happy to say that it was an easy fix and there was no damage caused by this issue. The LED strip may have come loose in transit even though the incubator was securely packed in styrofoam with additional styrofoam inserts to keep the roller unit secure. Since there was no damage and the incubator is fully operational as described, I'm not going to deduct a rating star for this. Why I have chosen to give the Altrapow Egg Incubator 4 stars is because it is a very solid, large capacity incubator that overall looks to be built very well. The egg candling feature in which an LED is positioned beneath each egg for candling is rather unique and ingenious. I personally feel that all 56 egg openings need to be covered with eggs to get the maximum effect during candling. If you have some egg holes empty, dealing with the bright LEDS while trying to candle is rather difficult. The egg roller action is very nice in the way it simply tilts the egg trays from side to side every 2 hours. This feature is very reminiscent of a few large capacity commercial incubators I've owned in the past. When compared to incubators where you place eggs on their side or there is a rotating platform where eggs are expected to roll, they don't always roll. The side to side rolling motion of the Altrapow Egg Incubator ensures that each egg does actually change position. I prefer this type of rolling mechanism over the others. I also like that the Altrapow Egg Incubator is very easy to set up and looks to be easy enough to clean after cycling batches through it. While the majority of the construction is plastic on this incubator, it seems to provide a lot of features and an easy to read digital display through which many of the incubator features are easily accessed via the control panel. And speaking of the control panel, it is a real good idea to keep and go through the instructions supplied with the incubator. These instructions are pretty easy to see, but they are heady enough that you will really need to read and refer to specific functions a few time to get a solid understanding. For the most part, my Altrapow Egg Incubator was mostly 'plug and play' as set from the factory (which appears to be for hatching chickens). Something rather notable too that I like is how the alarm system works. In a specific example, the humidity was low and the alarm sounded rather loud. On many incubators if an alarm goes off for any reason, you simply press a button to stop the alarm from sounding. You can do this only momentarily on the Altrapow Egg Incubator because the alarm will only go off for a couple of seconds before coming back on again. It's obvious you have to take care of the problem (such as low water/humidity) before the alarm will stay off. I like that feature mainly for the reason that I've sometimes forgotten that I've turned off the alarm on other incubators without fixing the problem right away. Overall I really like the Altrapow Egg Incubator and think that it is a nice addition for my incubator lineup and hopefully will produce high yields. As I mentioned, I tested the overall temperature and humidity stability and am pleased that it works as intended. I can't fairly rate on what percentage hatch I get because there are many factors involved. But if the temperature and humidity are stable, there's a good chance that the hatch rate will be good. The price point of the Altrapow Egg Incubator is pretty fair compared to many other large capacity incubators I've seen. You are getting a lot of really nice features with this incubator that you wouldn't get with other incubators you may pay more for. Nice product that I would recommend to others. Everything in one place - Automatic 56 Egg Incubator Ready to work. I just finished hatching a round of 12 Ducklings and needed a larger Incubator for the second round this season. The new Incubator easily holds the twenty Duck eggs that I just started. I ran the new Incubator for a week to make sure that it was following the automatic schedule with no issues, which it did. Setup and use is easy with the included Instructions and the Accessories in the Incubator Set. I love being able to monitor the Eggs without removing the cover every time. I will let you know how things turn out in about 26 days. I have no reason to expect anything other than perfect results with the new incubator. My overall rating for the Automatic 56 Egg Incubator is a Full Five Stars. It is designed for the Beginner as well as the Seasoned user. This is a big incubator. Holds 56 eggs and easy to see from top thru the clear plastic cover. You do have to add water by either using a small bottle thru a small hole or open the cover. I prefer the ones that has a pump to draw water from a container so don't have to check often. But other than this, everything else is great. Has all the controls for temperature and humidity and turns the eggs every 2 hours. Easy to set and big display to see settings. Has alarms if somethings goes wrong. For the price, this is a good deal for such a big incubator that works well. ... show more

I'm using this 56-egg incubator with automatic egg turning features for my own personal use. I am really liking the turning feature of the incubator. I would suggest cleaning very well when finished. The incubator is easy to clean and operate. I feel that the incubator is worth the asking price. I feel that the incubator performed up to my standards. The incubator is made from a durable plastic.
