Description

Dye Performance Slide Shorts have been designed with the same compression formed responsive air foam as the Performance Top. This unique padding material offers the ultimate in protection and breathability. We have positioned this new compression formed padding in critical areas to maximize protection, without hindering movement or flexibility. Special hip bone pads have been added to help minimize injuries. A unique padded crotch protector has also been added to protect the most important parts. True elastic waist band allows full stretch evenly around the waist for ultimate comfort.

    • Pretty good
I’ll start off by saying the shorts fit better than the dye tops as far as size but if you are 6ft or so go xl or xxl. It feels great and has nice padding around the sides and back, and like the dye top less padding in the front which is kinda a let down. I got these to protect my inner thighs because that were it hurts most other than your Johnson. Sadly they stop just shy of the inner thigh, sigh.. That said with padded paintball paints they help the chances of a bounce and are better than nothing. There should be a cup insert it doesn’t have one , it should have padding on the inner thigh at least neoprene rather than the mesh material. It is comfortable and doesn’t show under your pants at all. Like the dye top this product isn’t aimed at stopping normal shots from hurting completely in the front but rather to encourage bounces and provide ample side and back protection for the worst case scenario where you get bunkered and lit up in the back and the sides. The back and side protection is where the dye top and shorts outperform the competition in padding thickness and placement. The front it’s about the same as the rest , for the next rendition let’s see a cup insert along with inner thigh protection. The dye products although not perfect are still some of the better options but I would look around and try stuff on at shops if you can. ... show more

    • Thigh and jewels protection - check.
Used ‘em for some games, they’re comfy and stay put. I like ‘em, and love having the extra protection. I’m 5’10”, 195lbs, fit/muscular build, large thighs, the XL’s fit great and go fine under athletic shorts or joggers. Not too hot even when playing woodsball in 100+ heat. A bit hotter for sure, but worth the protection from massive thigh bruises or shots to the family jewels. I was using a fannypack as a codpiece, now I don’t need to as this provides coverage where it counts. The padded shirts I’ve tried are towering infernos to wear, but these are good and worth the slight trade off in warmth that they add. I spray any paint off with a hose outside with the rest of my gear, then wash ‘em on delicate with the rest of it. Used only twice so can’t speak to their longevity. ... show more

    • Excellent quality paintball undershorts
These are excellent quality paintball undershorts. I use them instead of padded pants so I can wear any pants. Guys need something like this to cover the family jewels if protection is not built into your pants. The other padding makes bruises less noticeable when you get hit in the area of the shorts. It has a few areas where there is no padding to allow better ventilation. I didn't quite agree with the placement of these panels in terms of where I more often get hit and where I needed protection most The crown Jewels protection could have been a little more robust too.     • Great slider shorts.
I had to get the large even though a normally wear a medium and the large fit perfectly. Nice and comfortable to wear underneath paintball pants. I had no problems with it whatsoever and still kept me cool even though I was wearing 3 layers there. I didn't feel any restriction of movement and it did a good job of venting out sweat.     • Works, but buy a Cup Too
First off, I truly love this product. It fits well and is padded just enough to prove its worth while not significantly reducing your range of motion and overall mobility. The only down side for me was the lack of padding in the front which I feel is a necessity when playing paintball (what I use it for). As a result, I bought a Cup to fit over the front and I officially have no complaints. It works like a charm. ... show more

    • A little on the tight size for a large
I love the comfort of these slider shorts but I think mine is a little on the small size. I am 5ft 9inche tall and about 178 pounds at size 36 so these fit kinda tight. Maybe they are designed that way since this is the first time for me wearing these type of shorts. They do let me move around and I will have to wash it first to see if they still fit me. I usually buy the size large and I did for these short but they are a little tight but not too much so that you can't breathe. ... show more

    • No groin protection while crouched
It fit as expected. I am 5'10" 180 lbs with a 36 waist. The only reason why I bought it was because I hoping to find an alternative to wearing a cup. When you're standing up, the padding covers your groin. But when you're crouching, the padding covers above your groin and the groin is exposed and no padding is protecting it. So I returned it and reverted back to using a cup until I find another solution. If groin protection is not a huge concern, then the padding, comfort, and fit were great. ... show more
